Can't resist waving my e-penis around for a sec. The second one came in the mail today. [t]http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h69/Bladeboy311/2012-08-14_23-23-01_313.jpg[/t] Now the question is... do I open them or do I hold off and sell them both for a fortune in 5 years?
You crazy sunofabitch.
You can't just generalize that for all headsets that uses a 2.4ghz band to transmit between the transmitter and headset. It's completely device specific in how well they are designed. FYI, Bluetooth also operates within the 2.4ghz band.
Okay, but I'll cite my example:
No compression allowed[...] That’s why Logitech gaming-grade wireless helps keep every last audio detail intact with no compression. Unlike a Bluetooth® connection that compresses audio, nothing gets lost or over-processed in our headsets’ uncompressed audio stream.
http://www.logitech.com/en-us/webcam-communications/internet-headsets-phones/wireless-gaming-headset-g930
Some people are very proud of their PSU.
My PSU gives me 3 extra FPS in Crysis.
Quick question. Would a water tank seriously hammer a 2.4ghz wi-fi signal? I'm having issues connecting my android to my wi-fi.
If anything blocking like pipes/tanks/metal structure, it can mess with the wifi.
no learn to deal with wires unless you want ipod earbud quality sound, interference and commonly bad build quality
Way to go generalizing and making things up. Being wireless does not automatically mean shit, implementation is everything and a well implemented wireless solution has the potential of being near as makes no difference as good as a wired solution. That's not saying much though as there is no such well implemented wireless solution that I know of, and I don't think there is at all. Or at least not one that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. My point is though that you're judging wireless sound not on the basis of the product but of the pure fact that it's wireless. That's called prejudice and is a very bad quality for any person to have. I guess my point is wireless =/= bad, bad product = bad. Oh and wireless sound doesn't use FM radio transmission anymore, it's all bluetooth. Interference isn't an issue anymore.
Well. Fuck. Guess I'll have to invest in some range extender or have a seperate Wi-Fi router in the other room. (funny that we got 3 routers, 2 are wifi and one is just a single ethernet so it's rather convenient at the same time almost)
Ethernet is a work-around or one of those Devolo network extenders. Trust me, I get ethernet speeds compared to wifi.
Are the Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200rpm and 64mb buffer any good? Or are the WD Desktop Black 2TB or WD Desktop Green 2TB they have pretty much the same specs i was wondering if the seagates are unstable or something. The seagate one is cheaper btw.

Something is wrong here, I get better speeds on Wireless compared to Wired connections.
Bad network card probably. Or a crappy router. Or a crappy cable.
Well, if you have a 100Mb/s ethernet port but a wireless N router and receiver, wireless should be faster than cable.
Well, if you have a 100Mb/s ethernet port but a wireless N router and receiver, wireless should be faster than cable.
if you have over a 100mbit connection, which I doubt he does
if you have over a 100mbit connection, which I doubt he does
He never said if it was his internet connection or LAN.
He never said if it was his internet connection or LAN.
oh yeah [editline]15th August 2012[/editline] to be fair though, it can't be guaranteed that he gets a higher speed, I get 20mbit transfer on my wireless N connection compared to the full 100mbit I can get over ethernet [editline]15th August 2012[/editline] (over LAN)
Do the first for your favorite bot and the second for Pbody
How did you know I'm considering selling the P-Body one :tinfoil:

Lets play L4D2. Hmm, Best availalbe dedicated server. First one, laggy shit. Seriously, Connection problems every 10 seconds, common lags etc. Second one - a modded one. Infinite ammo, gravity and no fall damage. Let's say, we found pipe bombs and grenade launchers. Infinite both = infinite fun (Or until common keeps running to your face) Also chainsaws. At some places my FPS dropped to like 10.
I was looking at the thread title when I realized that I have no idea how frequently a computer can be shut off without causing massive wear and tear on it. I've usually been averaging a few days to a week of uptime and then 8 or so hours down in between, but I don't know if that's too frequent or not frequent enough. Is there any generally agreed-upon rule to follow with regards to this matter? Thanks for the help.
What's the model number on the seagate
Its ST2000DM001 thats what the spec sheet says Here is the data sheet http://www.dustinhome.no/FetchAttachedDocument.aspx?ID=324876&ProdID=5010617329

Beyond that, everything is negligible, and startup on a hard disk isn't necessarily going to wear it out unless you consistently power on and power off every 30 minutes
Okay, but I'll cite my example: http://www.logitech.com/en-us/webcam-communications/internet-headsets-phones/wireless-gaming-headset-g930
So, it seems that RF wireless wins while Bluetooth wireless fails.
and this is why you don't buy the G930 surround sound in headphones is a gimmick
Get some Bose,Sennheiser,Pioneer, headphones and get a clip on mic or a mod mic. Much better my Senneheiser HD558 has a 3,5m long cable which i really like a lot. Also im using an Asus Xonar Essence STX really nice soundcard.
This is hella wild with you guys having nearly identical avatars.

Get a 7.1 speaker system and not a 7.1 headphone set. (As I'm saying this I'm using my 5.1 Logitech speakers as a 2.1 set because I'm not a huge fan of surround sound anyway) [editline]15th August 2012[/editline]
This is hella wild with you guys having nearly identical avatars.
Thank you for being the 80th person to point this out
This is hella wild with you guys having nearly identical avatars.
I must disagree.
Protocol7's has a 2 pixel border around the edge.
And is dithered, has much less colors, more frames and a slower framerate. It's not that hard to differentiate. [editline]15th August 2012[/editline] And how could you miss my fucking title
Was browsing popsci historical archives ?
