I've done it loads of times before. It'll be fine, just make it's dry.

If it's possible to remove the casing, do so to prevent water being trapped inside.
Get one with an A13 and start living on the edge.
Fuck that, a15

The one that actually exists :v:
the casing is pretty solid, but i was able to open a small hole for the rice to draw out any water still left in it
How much should I sell my old laptop for?

There's a bunch of sub-$70 HDMI Android sticks that have decent specs, though generally no exposed GPIO pins.
I love having random chemicals and such for electronics. I found this out today for fault finding and such.

Below -50c eh? I don't really have a use for this, but wait. I do! Desperate times call for desperate measures!
those long legged spiders are bros

The only reason I saw it was because I fucking heard it moving. I looked round and saw it's legs poke out. I nope'd on out of there.
Also it is still alive, I just cryogenically froze him, when I got some cardboard long enough to keep the distance between me and it I picked it up and it started coming back to life.

Interesting TweakTown rant that was posted to SH about how NVIDIA treats their partners: http://www.tweaktown.com/articles/4892/nvidia_s_strong_arm_tactics_how_they_treat_gpu_partners_and_media/index.html

You heard it from the man himself. (I know it's old)
It didn't even look like a proper spider.

Except Olin Coles makes a perfect point
Who is really the victim here? There are plenty of websites who don't receive free product samples directly from the manufacturers, which usually encourages them to work harder towards forming a business relationship. Looking back at how you've reacted by repeatedly disregarding embargoes to publish benchmark results and product specifications way ahead of launch, it's hard for anyone to argue against NVIDIA's decision not to support you. Almost every other website works with their board partners to secure samples, just as you could have done, and honor the NDAs. Your actions were purely of born of greed because they benefit nobody other than TweakTown. Your sponsors are put in an imposition because of it all, and by continually breaking NDA you alienate your industry peers.
I really like the individuals behind TweakTown; Cameron, Shane, and Chris are all good people, but this reaction was a professional mistake that needs to be corrected if there is to be any remedy.
Tweaktown is shit anyway.
I honestly don't think Nvidia is truly being the bad guy as they claim.
They're breaking NDAs which is wrong and benefits no one but them. If they receive something early it would be common sense to check the NDA of the product before posting any reviews.
I thought everyone hated tweaktown? Don't they constantly exploit everything they possibly can.
Anyone here have an EVGA GTX 670? This model to be exact:

If so, how loud is it for you when idle and under load? Mine seems to be way louder than what reviews claim it to be.

It's not that bad, can't hear it over my games.
My case sits on the floor underneath my desk.
My card is the loudest thing in my case. I can hear it when it's idle and it gets really loud when playing most games.
Also, it idles at 44C and gets to 89C max (ArmA II, BF3, and Metro 2033).
My tower sits on my desk almost right beside me
I can't really hear it over the game sound or whatever music I'm listening to

My 570 idles at 38c and maxes at 65c in furmark, never bothered with any other applications though.
I should seriously consider moving my computer next to my monitor it picks up so much dust :<

Really? I've got the Palit version, it idles at 29ish and averages 70-75 degrees under load, don't think I've ever seen it exceed 80.
Well, I'm going through my accumulated boxes of computer junk, trying to get it down to just *one* box of computer junk. I'm finding lots of old PS/2 trackball mice, various cables, CD drives. I'm checking eBay to see what's worth the hassle of selling.
Naturally, I found something mind-bogglingly retarded:

I like having my tower on my desk. Since I have a good amount of space free, if I ever have to reseat anything (Which is pretty often with my soundcard) I can just tip it over and take off the sidepanel
Putting it on my desk would give me motivation to make it look pretty, I've always wanted to hack a window on the sidepanel but since it's in a little box nobody would ever see it.
I'm streaming on twitch for the first time because why not. I can't seem to get BF3's audio to be picked up, but battlelog report noises and steam chat bleeps are picked up and echoed which is obnoxiously loud because i forget every time
Does anybody know if its possible to auto close the X has crashed window?
