Okay, i am really stuck here. Sorry is this may be the wrong thread to ask this but at around january, i bought a Zalman ZM-VE 200 SE and up until a few days ago it was working fine. Now when i plug it in, one of three things happens. It will either just make the PC shut off as if something in the PC shorted out. www.zalman.com comes up on the screen like it should then the screen goes blank. It won't react to any buttons pressed and the PC won't see anything either. www.zalman.com comes up on the screen like normal and it shows the name of an ISO that i previously had selected before it went wrong, it won't react to any buttons and the PC won't see it. I have tried 3 different HDDs with no dice. I bought it from here and in the returns section i can't find anything to do with warrenty. WHAT THE FUCK DO I DO
even my iPhone recognizes "fuck" windows phone 7 is aggressive about not learning swear words though, I wish I knew why
My WP7 doesn't autocorrect to profane words, but it doesn't make them something else either.
My WP7 doesn't autocorrect to profane words, but it doesn't make them something else either.
Every time I typed "fuck" it would try autocorrecting them and the plus to add it to the dictionary wasn't available.
Did the class/school have rights to do that? Did you give them permission?
Apparently. It was also entered in some school media arts contest thing, guess I won or something. Nobody ever sent an email or anything.
Apparently. It was also entered in some school media arts contest thing, guess I won or something. Nobody ever sent an email or anything.
sue them for delicious government money
Why should I have to? It doesn't excuse the fact the UI is appalling. I used to use Stratiform to unugly Firefox and I just thought, fuck this shit the add-on keeps crapping out with every Firefox update, and it reverts to its revolting state for days at a time. Then I moved to chrome, it got a lot simpler to manage. Also, I'm having major flash issues on Chrome too. I have to open up IE10 instead (which is actually awesome apart from the completely retarded notifications at the bottom).
I fixed Firefox without an extension.
I've started to like the tabs-on-top, actually. I believe I originally only hated the whole thing because it was kind of an Opera rip-off, but it really does use up less space and is pretty logical now that I've gotten used to it. Also, I have no idea of what the hell is going on with the latest Internet Explorer's default tab positioning.
Purchased a new PCI-E wireless adapter for my PC because my Edimax USB one sucks d**k at loading webpages. Can't wait to browse the internet fast for once (It's not my connection, it's the adapter being slow as hell. 60mbps Virgin Media isn't slow)!
Ha ha ha Edinax Broadcom masterrace.
Edimax actually make pretty good wireless adapters though :(
I don't know, the Edimax adapter seems to work pretty well on Ubuntu/Linux and not too bad on Windows 8 but on Windows 7 the speed sucks ass. The drivers are terrible, even the Realtek versions which the chipset is based off-of. Actually bought the Edimax in the first place so I could test out OSX x86 which worked well. Apparently the adapter I just bought works out of the box as an airport adapter, pretty nifty.
why?
If it's the U3011. Enjoy the delicious 2-3 input lag. [editline]23rd August 2012[/editline]
IPS monitors have bad ghosting.
No, you're using bad IPS panels. [editline]23rd August 2012[/editline]
Apparently. It was also entered in some school media arts contest thing, guess I won or something. Nobody ever sent an email or anything.
Don't believe "Apparently" Find out. If you never agreed to it, you may be eligible for compensation if they ran it in some competitions on your behalf. Just because they credit you doesn't mean shit unless they asked or it was in a license you signed. Some schools will plug in like, "All Services or Products developed, researched, or produced while enrolled in the school and on the grounds for the purpose of grade credits is under the jurisdiction and strict guidance of the school, or subsidiaries. The school, or subsidiaries reserve the right(s) to sell, market, or commercialize said products." I saw this on an entrance admission for a media school. LOL NOPE
So i thought that my motherboard died only to find out that my brand new psu AX850 gold is a goner, the thing is it was powered off all the time when i had to switch my case. Are Corsair psu's crappy? or just bad luck?
AX850 is a SeaSonic OEM, it's one of Corsair's good ones. Just bad luck, probably.

I'm using a TX650 as a reserve atm. Also btw i got a usb3 stick with 32GB it has 120MB/S read and 90/MB/S write. Any games i could put on there ? I wish i could put the binding of isaac on it but steam just wont go in offline mode on that laptop i use in school.
Interesting tidbit about how CPUs affect gaming that was posted to /. not terribly long ago: http://techreport.com/articles.x/23246
Did they put a filter on Steam?
The FX-8150 is slower than the Phenom II X6 1100T, and the FX-6200 trails the X4 980 by a pretty wide margin. Only the FX-4170 represents an improvement from one generation to the next, and it costs more than the Phenom II X4 850 that it outperforms.
bulldozer is great guys
bulldozer is great guys
Well it actually is but it too much of an technical advancement you saw that ms had to bring a patch for it. But seriously i hope amd can get out the new bulldozer and optimize it.
It's too late, even I'm defecting to Intel with my next upgrade.
As long as there are still AMD/ATI gpus :v:
Got my 900W Cyberpower UPS today. Turns out amazon does not accept returns for UPS's or I'd simply go with the pure sine wave version.
Saw this at work in an environment lab.
Ebuyer's return policies must have changed because they are tighter than a camel's ass in a sandstorm these days. I've had to restate UK consumer law to them twice in 4 months due to them not taking a power supply back that went faulty within the statutory 6 months. (They went faulty in 2 months) I've had to send an Antec Supply and a Corsair supply for RMA, myself (at my cost), via courier service to an address in another country. Then attempt to reclaim the costs back off ebuyer. Corsair and Antec do not cover costs. Currently looking for a power supply brand with a service centre in the UK. If one exists. Needless to say, I no longer buy off ebuyer, I've never had these problems with scan.co.uk, they tend to take things no questions asked. Even if the item is £20 more on scan.co.uk I'll be buying off them, £40 in overseas postage. Ugh.

I managed to fuck up the firmware on mine when the second line of the LCD broke, but I got it replaced by Zalman.

The first six months of the six years, the burden of proof is with the seller, and the five and a half years after that the burden of proof is with the buyer, according to UK consumer laws. But, with the EU consumer laws the burden of proof is with the seller for the full two years so effectively, in the UK, this would mean that you have a two year minimum warranty with the burden of proof on the seller and another four years of warranty with the burden of proof on the buyer.
