I would love to do some volunteer administrating work, since I will soon have a job in the very same area and having work experience and learning even more (I know probably everything about Active Directory but I never set up or maintained an AD system) is something that I really need.

I have no experience with Linux hosting, and Windows hosting only learned from books.
Going to setup a Ubuntu VM in Finnish and fullscreen it on my laptop and shove it in front of my 60-year old mom.
She sucks as a computer user, I want to see if the UI is clear enough that she might actually "get" it.

Dell Ultrasharp 30" IPS

How much did you pay for it? When I had my three dell 30's each were around $1250
Do you live in a shack with a supercomputer inside?
forgot the camera
Do you live in a shack with a supercomputer inside?
1250$ is not much when you work.
1250$ is not much when you work.
I would say that $1250 is a lot whether you work or not. If you need the monitor for work, sure it's an investment, but otherwise that's still a lot of money.

Is Norway one of those countries where you can have a good job in like 10 minutes?
Because I need to get away from where I live right now, and I can't move off planet, so another country is the next best thing.

Norway isn't too bad, you should go to Denmark though. Better food and our national song doesn't suck as much as their's. If you count it "Kong Christian stod ved højen Mast" it's actually awesome as fuck. Besides, cucumber doesn't cost a number only Dr. Evil would pronounce per gram here in Denmark. And Copenhagen is a really nice city.
Short version - Norway okay, Denmark kind og awesome.

I feel this may be biased :v:
In norway Water costs more than coca cola :v:
Also norway is tbh only good for working you should live in sweden or somewhere close to norway.

Yeah, I know some people that do that. They live close to the border on the Swedish side where it's cheaper to live and work in Norway where the pay is better. It's apparently pretty good, And from what i'v heard there are some areas where you are more likely to meet Swedish people then Norwegians
Norway and Sweden both use the Euro right?
Otherwise getting paid and paying bills and shit is probably a bitch and a half.
Also tbh the majority of Norwegians are retards no offense. BTW I'm form north Germany, so i have been plenty of times in Denmark :3 Dænskepølser og Danish pastry :v:

Sweden is in EU but uses sek and norway is not in eu and is using nok.

Actually, We voted on it a while back and decided to keep our own currency, and i think Norway have it that way too

How does that work then? Can you like work in Norway but be paid in sek or will your banks autoconvert direct deposits or something?
Better food and our national song doesn't suck as much as their's. If you count it "Kong Christian stod ved højen Mast" it's actually awesome as fuck.
I actually had to go and check which King Christian this was about because you have like sixteen of those

I doubt Norway has much to do with Swedish Kronor
[editline]27th August 2012[/editline]
The Norwegian variant, of course, is obviously the only currency used in Norway
[editline]27th August 2012[/editline]
Also you should totally come to Finland
We're pretty cool and our foods are nice. We only eat mämmi once a year.

He was talking about when you work in Norway but live in sweden.

All banks convert direct deposits obviously. If you open your account in sweden the money on your bank account will always be sek.
So I might be about to get a Kinect for basically free. I've only ever used one for Netflix stuff. What other cool things does it let you do with an Xbox?

Dance and move funny
128GB Samsung 830 or 120GB Intel 330? The Samsung is $109 and the Intel is $104.
Samsung as samsung only uses their parts when making them.
Sounds good to me. This is going to be the last upgrade I make to my desktop, I just bought a refurbished motherboard that supports AHCI and isn't a piece of shit like my current motherboard.
EDIT: Purchased the 830!
How much did you pay for it? When I had my three dell 30's each were around $1250
Paid $1189, these are usually $1699 in Australia so I jumped at the chance when Dell put a $500 cashback offer up.
1250$ is not much when you work.
$1250 isn't much when I have wanted one for years and most of my job revolves around my computer.
Thinking of an 830 for my system drive too. Might go for 512gb, my steam folder is gigantic.
How would I analyse this?

Giving me a warning about bad sectors - but how serious is that? Is it an "Oh, not much of a problem" or an "Oh, replace it ASAP" level?
As for the Ultra DMA CRC Error count: replace your SATA cable
