The PS3 and X360 versions obviously have hardware-specific hacks that make them run smoother or look better than they theoretically should. And it's still not comparable. [editline]27th August 2012[/editline]
I always bought Kingston valueram till I built my current rig, I'm guessing they are of the same quality. Which was brilliant for the price might I add.
I have ValueRAM in my current comp. Their only downside seems to be that you can't really OC, but if you're fine with default clocks they're damn good.
The console versions have a lower draw distance and just blur the lower LoD models in the background. I really hope GTA 5 runs well on PC!
Well is Max Payne 3 is anything to go by it should be fine.
So I just checked my university's ethernet and only get 0.25Mb/s upload D:
If you think that's bad, I only have .5 mbps upload speed (on a home connection, which translates to less than 64 kb/s)
I did a thing. (I have too much spare time on my hands help)
How did you get it before the password prompt?
/etc/issue You also have to edit /etc/ssh/sshd_config (directory varies by distro) and uncomment the #Banner /etc/issue part. Used to display legal warnings and terms of usage. It is supposed to display before the username prompt, but PuTTY does not emulate it well and only displays it after the username typed in. If you ssh in with the -q flag, it won't be displayed, just in case you get tired of it.
What's the easiest way to install linux on a harddrive which already has windows installed
What's the easiest way to install linux on a harddrive which already has windows installed
Insert installation media, partition drive, install OS, installer will probably auto-setup dual-boot, unless you're using something like Arch or Gentoo, at which point you wouldn't be asking this question.
Oh, VLC has been popping up updates time to time. I should update. current version: 1.1.11 update: 2.0.2 oh.

I have tried that, but no Image-to-ASCII program can do it without making the arrows look horrible.
I can't really believe how much cooler and quieter the 680 runs compared to the 580. Both DCII.
Is the reference cooler on the 560 ti any good?
Is any stock cooler good? Why would anyone buy a stock cooler if they don't plan on changing it.
Is any stock cooler good? Why would anyone buy a stock cooler if they don't plan on changing it.
that really doesn't answer my question though
that really doesn't answer my question though
It's okeyish, not to annoying loud and it lands around 70-80c. Of course it also depends on case, airflow and stuff like that.
to answer your question, no it isn't, get the twin frozr 2 from MSI, keeps mine around 90 in intensive games with the fans at lowest
I'm buying secondhand because I have no money and no income. I read from here: http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/graphics/2011/01/25/nvidia-geforce-gtx-560-ti-1gb-review/8 that it had pretty good temps?
Oh great, I have 2 persons in MSN who have their users taken over by a bot. What advertises some porn site / webcam site. What is disguised as a reddit thingy. aka reddit.com/tb/xxxxx That just adds a reddit toolbar on top of a site. nice.
same here, all girls i know in irl, it's funny to know they clicked some porn linl

The card will peak at 70-80c depending on case, game.
Is the Microsoft Surface worth it? I'm thinking about buying one for myself when it comes out.

That depends on how the app situation improves (There's like 500 in the store right now), how much it costs and how fast it is. We know very little about Surface right now.
As long as it has skype and a good web browser, I'm good.
Is the Microsoft Surface worth it? I'm thinking about buying one for myself when it comes out.
I'm really counting on buying the (presumeably) i5 version, just because it's seems like a very nice piece of tech. I would also like to try Windows 8 on a tablet.
