How does $40 for a lighty used 90GB Agility 3 sound? Good deal?
Yeah, I'd buy it if you weren't in the US. Pass this up, my reading comprehension is going bonkers.
I am in fact in the US. Is this a reason to pass it up?
He though you were selling it and since you're US...
Ah. My bad lol that was pretty vague. Just ignore my dumbassery.
I am in fact in the US. Is this a reason to pass it up?
For me it is, I'm in Denmark - it's gonna be costly to just get it here with the VAT and what not. Fuck I'm stupid. Ignore this.
I bought a laptop cooler I need it Guild Wars 2 on a HD 6650M, while it runs well, turns the laptop into a portable heater and it's not winter yet so I don't want to cook my lap
i'm purchasing a galaxy nexus soon goodbye apple
Called EVGA about my GTX 670, seems like I got a free step up according to what the guy said. neato

From a stock GTX 670 to a dual fan SC Signature GTX 680. But idk if that's actually happening. He was all "well, if that's the case you can send it and we can send back the super clocked signature 680" then I asked him what version and he said the dual fan one.
i'm purchasing a galaxy nexus soon goodbye apple
God dammit everyone is getting one
Going from a stock 670 to a special ed. 680 is a huge jump, awesome!
I have a lot of over the phone charisma according to some people I know. It's how I managed to wiggle free stuff from reps from Blizzard, Cooler Master, Asus, Corsair, and Antec. Mostly just stickers, posters, game time, and even a set of ram for my other PC.
Then you probably had some leverage when you went into it.
Nope, not required really. I've been amazed what stuff I've gotten just by being nice over the phone since in general people like to yell over the phone, especially at support reps.
Then you probably had some leverage when you went into it.
Nope. I just call support when I have a general question that I wasn't able to get answered with Google. I got the ram by asking about a certain line of ram Patriot use to make and I was trying to see if they were still made/sold. Well they weren't but they sent my a pack anyway some how. I got posters from Blizzard just by calling and asking, finally getting one of the framed too. [editline]29th August 2012[/editline]
Nope, not required really. I've been amazed what stuff I've gotten just by being nice over the phone since in general people like to yell over the phone, especially at support reps.
They love politeness. My dad managed to get an original iPhone from Apple after calling their support and then asking for a person higher up in the support chain of command, he ended up doing nothing but complimenting the reps for their support and service over the years. Then a week before the offical iPhone launch one was delivered to our door from Apple with a thank you letter.
Don't yell at support reps. We're people, too <3
Amazon has good support too (even thought they are outsourced Indians who copypaste responses), when my Kindle broke, they just needed it's serial number, my address and a valid credit card. I was done in 5 minutes, no questions asked, I just said it's not working, I didn't even had to send the faulty one back.
Without support reps the world would spiral into insanity. No one would get things fixed and will be left with so many questions.
Hahaha no offense to support reps, but they don't fix shiz. They are needed to filter people who don't need help and generally shield the actual tech reps from all the bullshit.
Without the we wouldn't be able to get to those techs now would we?? Plus they do fix things if they're reps for software or a game so yeah.
Hahaha no offense to support reps, but they don't fix shiz. They are needed to filter people who don't need help and generally shield the actual tech reps from all the bullshit.
Thanks for the overwhelmingly inaccurate stereotype.
This isn't a stereotype, a support rep on tier 1 is not a qualified anything.
Requesting Cobra's title be returned. I am living proof that you're profiling/stereotyping/whatever you want to call it. I'm tier 1 tech support for 72 schools across the nation, and I fix 80% of the issues that come to me.
Great so maybe you are an actual tech support hotline, i was referring to corporate support hotlines which operate with call centers and simple textbook agents. [editline]29th August 2012[/editline]
I bet he's one of those angry customers
Why would I be angry at a qualified tech, or even more so at some guy who doesn't know more than the screen tells him?
Great so maybe you are an actual tech support hotline, i was referring to corporate support hotlines which operate with call centers and simple textbook agents.
Not a hotline. Actual dedicated tech support in an actual corporate office in an actual call center. Stop running around with your head cut off you're bleeding on me and I don't want your AIDS.
