oh god. so i come into work and this customer is sitting at my workstation with his old thinkpad. now, keep in mind this guy is about 70. he's having problems with his email (something about the number of unread emails not changing, i just told him to talk to his email provider), so he asks me how to open this email. I tell him to double click the email, it opens, and its full of porn. like, filled to the brim with various porn links. so i walk off to go tell my boss that i'm not dealing with this guy (because i'm not supposed to). so i come back and he's just gone, apparently the second i turned away he closed his laptop, forgot his charger, and took off.

I spoke with that manager. 1) To summarize, he's trying to put together a position and req for someone that is exactly like me so it's like a perfect fit when I move over. 2) Another option is that I'm simply outsourced to another department and stick to IT until the end of the year. And simply used when needed for projects. 3)The last option is he's developing a business plan to send to global marketing to get some funds to setup a video team here locally. I'd be the manager of my own video team for demos and corporate videos. I'd have like 1-2 people under me. He continued to say how well the project came out and how much the higher up regional and international managers liked the video and were even more impressed that it was all done by me. It's exciting, but that's his idea right now.
