Content today in IT with the worst teacher in the world:
"Who has developed websites before?" A couple people in the class say they have, and that they've used Frontpage or Dreamweaver. One even said Moonfruit. I said Notepad (figured she wouldn't know what Sublime Text was so I said the first text editor that came to mind). She said "What? Oh you did it by hand in HTLM?" So I just sorta nodded and said yes.
Later on she spent a good 5 minutes trying to pronounce WYSIWYG as a word.
I plugged my USB HDD into the modem.
It claims to see a partition that hasn't existed on the drive for like... 6 months or so.
I'm just going to run DBAN in a VM and connect the HDD into the VM.

Friend of mine literally pronounces it 'Wiseywig'
It would probably be quicker to just say What you see is What you get

Got asked the same question in class today, me and my bud both say yes, teacher asks again, then says 'really, no one? I expected at least some people'. Jeeezus teachers like that annoy me so much. Listen. Before. You. Fucking. Continue. On. Asking. You. Fuck. At the end I just couldn't be bothered to try and tell him I had anymore.
Just spent a good two hours setting up and learning how to use Foobar2000. How's it look so far? Customized this skin a bit to make it cleaner. Finally glad to be rid of the scourge that is iTunes.

With how customizable foobar is you can't really judge how pretty it looks or give much advice
But that looks really nice

Everyone I've ever met in the web development field says it "Wiz ee wig" as one word. Works for me, I know what they mean.
Same deal as when people say Goo-E for GUI, or Sequel for SQL (I personally say Ess Cue El)

The only one I really pronounce as a word is JPEG
JPEG is basically one of the few acronyms that you can say as a word and not sound like a retard that doesn't know what he's talking about.
The only one I really pronounce as a word is JPEG
I don't think many people spell out JPEG or GIF though

what about GIF peanut butter
what about GIF peanut butter
I pronounce the PB brand as jiff and the file format as g-i-f :v:
I was meaning Okami wasn't released on the Gamecube.
It wasn't? Damn memory must be playing tricks on me.

I pronounce SQL like 'squirrel' entirely because it irritates people.
Goddamnit the Zenbook fan problem is back again. I've come to the conclusion it's a problem that comes and goes. What do I do? Do I call Asus support to tell them about it? I know this is a problem a lot of people with Zenbooks have, so chances are that there's a solution that only Asus knows about or something. Don't they have a chat or something?
I was in a debate with a co-worker about the GNOME distro. I guess "guh-nome" is an acceptable pronunciation. Who knew?

I thought it was either, you know, "gnome". Or gee-nome (genome as in dna and shiz)

Never heard it said like genome, always ga-nome.
So anyways, Godaddy seems to be down. And for some reason my company uses it for DNS for our webservers, so I'm pretty much unable to work right now.
Awesome.
It is like a silent G and nome.
Not hard.
"Gnome -- pronounced with a hard "G"..."

It's a G because it stands for GNU
Everyone has to hear it's GNU

Oh, and now rumor has it Anonymous is claiming credit. This could get interesting...
Wasn't there some scandal with GoDaddy a while back?

Either way, I will always pronounce 'Gnome' as Nome and GNU as 'G-N-U'
I'm too used to saying Gnome that way at this point :(

The point was kind of "If you don't pronounce it with a g you're only gonna piss off rms"
