I just registered a .fi domain. Holy fuck the restrictions and the legalese on the page, holy fuck. You can only buy .fi domains from Viestintävirasto, it's the part of the Finnish government that regulates pretty much anything that has to do with communications (I guess the correct translation would be Bureau of Communications). If you haven't checked that your domain name doesn't violate copyright, you can't buy the domain, if your name servers aren't working within a month inside the purchase of domain, the domain is revoked, no refund, you can't register a domain based on the name of another person even if that person has given you permission, etc. Fun stuff.

Apparently Steam's Big Picture Mode is released some time today... can't wait! Might try and revive that old Loungeroom PC Gaming thread, this will hopefully generate a bit more interest in it...

You guys know how Virtualbox tries to guess the operating system type based on what kind of name you give to your VM? I downloaded the .iso from the Linux for Niggers site, and I wrote linux for niggers as the VM name. It suggested Oracle. Edit: Oh wow. The ISO boots up and starts showing random pictures. So far I've seen some fried chicken, Tupac, random rapper with long black hair, a black guy with guns and watermelon slices.

Now my upgrades are growing. Go with two side monitors. like a 240gb SSD, and a TV for big picture mode. 50" maybe :p

Big Picture Mode is pretty awesome, although I did spend far too much time searching for and in some cases *making* icons for my non-Steam games (AIX, BF2:SF, Minecraft, Narbacular Drop, UT99, UT2004) and the ones that don't have one (GMod 13, Nexuiz Beta, TF2 Beta). Need to get an HDMI cable so I can use it on my TV.

Wow the big picture mod is so awesome It looks like it broke all the game icons though, only a few show up in the big picture mode itself and only the custom ones show up in regular steam
