Shit BMS is a big game I'm downloading it from an external source and getting 160, buuuut then again I'm downloading Faster Than Light at 200ish too so I hope it goes faster when either download is finished. Are the files a "BlackMesa.7z" and a "BlackMesaSetup.exe" for you guys or did I fall for a prank
BlackMesa.7z
Seems legit.

It IS legit. Just run the setup. Don't extract anything.
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/xHo2t.jpg[/img_thumb] Party like it's 1992!
That's a pretty ugly start menu button
That's a pretty ugly start menu button
If you say so.
Seems legit.
Have you never heard of 7Zip or something?
Have you never heard of 7Zip or something?
I'd imagine that it'd be pretty odd for a game to be released as an exe and a .7z file.
That's a pretty ugly start menu button
By itself maybe. but combined with everything else it's pretty neat
it's a mod, and from what I've played of Black Mesa professionalism isn't that important to them besides, 7z has better compression than other formats
I'd imagine that it'd be pretty odd for a game to be released as an exe and a .7z file.
The .exe extracts the 7z's contents where it needs to be
I KNOW THIS I'm just saying that it would look fishy or like a cracked version or something like that because no other games release like that
I just don't like the rounded corner. It looks like it's meant for XP.
Or apple owns it.
I never got low memory errors when I had only 4GB RAM on my old computer but now on my new computer I get them time to time even though I have 8GB RAM. Well, one time I was playing Battlefield 3 while I had accidentally left Photoshop open. :v: Now I was playing Rayman Origins but I don't know what made it crash so hard I had to restart my computer.
Localization is hard, even for Google. Went to update my debit card info on Checkout (or Wallet as it's called now), and the site's in Finnish. Ok, nothing wrong with that, too lazy to change it into English. It asks for my last name. Ok, sure. Error. Field last name requires both first and last names. Fuck off.
Here's a question: Do you need both of your cards to be the exact same to work in Crossfire or SLI? Because if not a 650 would be pretty awesome for a physx dedicated/offload card
Same chipset, yes, but for the same manufacturer, no, you don't.
Played some of BMS, it's great so far.
No love for Longhorn? I can't stand the new round/non existing start buttons.
Speaking of Black Mesa... I played a bit of it, with the sound off unfortunately (was showing off to the guys at work). They definitely seem to have made changes, but none of them seem to be bad changes. However, I did notice one glaring bug - the text that's supposed to be localized is displaying the text tag, not the text (eg. "#BMS_Chapter_03" instead of "Office Complex"). Is this happening to anyone else, or just me? Actually, on second thought, I'll go look in a BMS thread.

I had the same problem, but I solved it by naming the mod folder "bms" (had it named "Black Mesa" before). I guess the mod looks for its language files according to the folder's name, so it was searching for "BlackMesa_english.txt" instead of "bms_english.txt".

Edit: Yeah, that seems to have fixed it.
I was having framerate issues for a while, then I realised I was forcing 16xCSAA ingame and in my driver panel :v:
It's been running amazingly for me. Only issue is that I got stuck in a door a bit before the point where you enter the test chamber with the anti-mass spectrometer.
