abandoned soviet bunker tech update
we found some really cool radar tech usermanuals down under here, its really interesting as they left in such a hurry that the soviets left a shitton of tech and things behind
seeing as the border patrols were in quite remote locations and the radar locations were secret, no real metal/tech thieves have found their way here. We only stumbeled on it by chance.
I might have some pictures of the radar and military equipment later :v:

Why does some of the missions from STALKER come into mind?
All I'm thinking of is Fallout 3.
Fallout isn't even set in Russia/Ukraine.
One of the missions in STALKER requires you to get info on the evacuation locations and manuals.
Turing, which island is it? Prangli wasn't a soviet war-island, that falls out.
Naissaare was with loads of bunkers etc. but I can't remember any underground railways. Only that the onground ones were broken and that there were a lot of old mine warehouses. We didn't really explore the bunkers much because whiny women and no flashlights.
Osmussaar had a fuckbig long-range cannon, like 20m diameter and 20m deep too. Can't remember bunkers tho. But there was only one family living there.
Kihnu, nope.
Muhu/Saaremaa/Hiiumaa are with a lot of habitants.
Aegna or something like that near Tallinn?

Actually, we aree exploring at the real coastal uninhabited areas of Hiiumaa.
The most interesting one was an abandoned military airport, it too had the fuckhuge cannons and some rust antiair equipent.
The coolest thing by far were the abandoned helicopter wrecks/bodies, there were no engines and mostly no rotors but the cabin electronics were intact.

My GPU is even worse now, last week it died every 1 hour of intensive usage (read: gaming), now I can't play for 10 minutes without it giving me a black screen of death.
[editline]19th July 2012[/editline]
I guess it's time for RMA?
My Nexus 7 won't properly connect to our WiFi at work, so I'll just use my phones 4G as a hotspot.
Oh Tmobile locked hotspot tethering in a recent OS update. Oh I have to pay 15 dollars ontop of my 20 dollars per month for data to use it on my tablet.
Go fuck yourself.
Custom ROM maybe might help?

RMA before it's too late
Same sort of thing happened with my 560Ti, but the warranty went out one week before it died :x
Someone left a train ticket next to my seat today, and this was on it:

does anyone know anything about the logitech 'extreme 3d pro'?
picked one up for a buck at a garage sale, no use for it but hey nearly free joystick. the buttons are slightly difficult to press, like they're resisting or something.

good joystick, just clean the buttons with some alcohol if they're sticking, or open it and fix it, lazy
I have a free mini-PCIe slot in my laptop where the 3G card would go, what could I put in there other than a Broadcom Crystal HD (Which isn't really needed because I have a Core 2 Duo).
An SSD?
god damn the english language is confusing
i was tempted to correct you on your usage of an but then i remembered that it starts with an e sound so it's grammatically correct
meanwhile a university is also grammatically correct which fucks with my brain too
Damn it I bricked my sgsI (Because I am a total idiot)
Where can you buy a phone without a contract in Canada?
You can't brick a Galaxy S version 1. I've tried. Unless you were messing with things nobody does, ie download mode, and usb host and charging fuckery you just need to press the nice little reset button.
Or put it into the full recovery mode

There's no way you bricked an i9000(M), it's near impossible. Just reflash an SBL ROM with ODIN.
[editline]19th July 2012[/editline]
Your post in the Android thread says ODIN won't recognize it. I have no idea how you did that, anyway try reinstalling the Samsung USB drivers from here.

Railworks' map files are split into usually around 69mb .bin files, there are HUNDREDS of them which is a huge pain in the arse because I've spent about 20 minutes trying to copy just railworks to my external drive (backing up all of my games) because it's copying each one individually at something like 300kb/s
it copies 10 of them, pauses for 10 seconds then copies 10 more. this is the most stupid shit ever, why couldn't they have thought up some other kind of format for their map files? it probably explains why it takes 9 years to load the game too

now i need to figure out what im going to do with my 260.
Correction, they aren't 69mb; I can't read. They're mostly 69kb. There are 19,727 1-100kb files, my hard drive is going to be fucked
