I went to the bank today and withdrew all my funds, for $231.21 add that to the $170 I had on me and $80 my parents owe me, I have about $485. My parents had to use the HDD i had been saving when theirs crashed, and said they'd help me out when it came time. I'm going to pick up a 560ti off craigslist for hopefully $125 if I can talk someone down, if not, the most I can go is $140, and they're asking $150 ish. I've been saving since I bought this PC for my next one and it always seemed so far. Now that I can actually purchase it, I'm overwhelmed. Can you guys just look at my newegg crap and tell me if there are any better deals for the money? I already checked but facepunch is good at finding deals for some reason. thanks

It's only a tiny performance increase, but for $5 why not.

Chances are you get much better performance just using the 570 for physx and rendering. Well this is funny: At work, I decided to try to make a chart of our database schema. MySQL Workbench has tools for that, automatically extracts the schema, all you have to do is organize it semi-coherently. That's not the funny bit. The funny bit is how slow the program ran. Rather bad spikes of lag. I remind you that I'm using a rig that, so far, has maxed out both Crysis and Skyrim. And our database isn't *that* big - it's only fifty or so tables, and it doesn't go crazy with the FKs.

Are you right next to the server, is it in a datacenter somewhere, etc, etc

But that shouldn't slow down Workbench's diagramming tool. It reads the schema once, then translates it into diagram file to be worked on. You can actually use it in reverse order (diagram the database, then have it connect to a MySQL server and create the database you designed), so it isn't network latency.

Just got back from JC2 It may have some of the worst AI i have ever seen but that was SO FUCKING FUN I raided a military base, shot down the mile high club with one of the military bases helicopters, plowed said helicopter into an oil rig, nicked their helicopter and flown back to the base where a respawned helicopter awaited and just hovered over a random road shooting all moving things in sight. Eventually i got shot down by another helicopter and then shot to death by ground crews.

It's the San Andreas type of fun. All we need now is godmode, Infinite rockets and speedhacks and people will be dying from laughter
