"You get half the cores with intel, the same L3 cache, but it only has 1 mere megabyte of L2"

"clearly if you want more performance or better bang for your buck, amd is the way for you"

obviously a jackass who doesn't understand how basic computing works
Its pretty pathetic if you think about it the FX 8150 which is the high end from amd has to compete against an i5 2500k. I do like both companies thou i wish AMD would come up with something better.

WoT managed not to tell me that it was a horrible site until I googled it to really make sure.
Time for a virus scan...
Has AMD actually released any new processors recently? Have they said anything about Enhanced Bulldozer yet?
Has AMD actually released any new processors recently? Have they said anything about Enhanced Bulldozer yet?
I was under the assumption that they were focusing on the Mobile processors now, just continuing to manufacture their current desktop ones
Has AMD actually released any new processors recently? Have they said anything about Enhanced Bulldozer yet?
As far as I'm aware, we only have roadmaps, which all say everything is going to be based off bulldozer. So AMD are only worthwhile for their Mobile chips and GPU's right now.
don't AMD GPU's still have those horror-story drivers?
don't AMD GPU's still have those horror-story drivers?
They get as much problems as Nvidia drivers, but I still prefer Nvidia drivers for their features. Shit like forced AA.
Has AMD actually released any new processors recently? Have they said anything about Enhanced Bulldozer yet?
The post-Bulldozer core (Piledriver) is used in their new "Trinity" mobile processors. Results were a little improved vs Bulldozer but still unimpressive.
But AMD have better power savings (examples like the 7750 7770 just run on the 95w PCI-E lane)
7770 takes a 6 pin

In Windows, if they ever had major issues, they appear to be fixed now.
The steam sale makes me act stupid. I buy games I already have on my other accounts.
Steam is so cheap, I'd rather pay for a game again then simply login to another account.
Damn.
I still get driver crashes daily playing any games that stress my card
Anyone happen to know how to get a Cyborg X flight stick to work with BF3?
They do? :o
I think there's a version that doesn't, but it isn't the normal 7770.
I wish i had Money for steam sales
I sit here watching...with 0.65 in my bank :(

Oh, scary times!
First I do a scan on my desktop after not doing one for God knows how long. (Yes yes, shame on me...)
Malwarebytes finds Trojan:Win32/Sisproc
I think, Oh splendid! I wonder where I got that from. I proceed to attempt to remove it and reboot. Only to find that my BIOS is being incredibly slow on booting and froze up 3 times before it went through! But I blame that on my recent mouse change. I heard that sometimes more complex mice can cause that on certain computers.
And then I find that it wasn't removed at all. Malwarebytes did nothing. So I gave MSE a shot at it and lo and behold... It wiped it out. Didn't come back after another reboot.
I was scared pretty bad, as I said before my computers are like children to me. When something goes wrong I start to freak. :l
Is this a good deal? It seems to be more expensive on Newegg which is weird as us Aussies usually pay 10-50% more on PC parts, never less.

That is an excellent deal, the 830's are amazing SSD's especially for that price.

I've heard so, but why? Not too good with SSDs, so I'm never sure...
How does it compare to these? Which should I buy and why?

Go with the 830.
I get about 1/5 of that and slap a 40GB data cap on top of that.
data caps are massive bullshit IMO, I live in a third world country and still get 6Mbps without one for an okay price.
Woo, just got a galaxy S stuck in a bootloop.
if you fix it give it to me please ;___;
No, I stole it from my dad because he got a SGS 3, using it until my Nexus S gets here, was getting rid of the AWFUL shitload of mods he had on the thing. Fixed now.
