I don't know why I jailbroke my iPhone. It's been consistently crashing, slow, and just overall buggy as all hell since I did. I went so far as to reset all the device's settings to get it to work...ish. To be fair I have a lot of shit installed - BiteSMS, a hacked Siri, a theme and some other extensions to help overall appearance. But christ, this is bad. Never had an iPhone hang on me before until I jailbroke the damn thing. Some devices just shouldn't be hacked I guess. I have the ultimate "hack" anyway, a color conversion (My iPhone is green)

Now that I'm using Cyanogen mod/ICS 4.0.4 it's completely smooth and faster than most other Android devices I've seen.

Gingerbread was a truly terrible OS in comparison to iOS when you compare every single aspect, but now Android has [I]really[/I] caught up and arguably outdone iOS. Turns out, it was because I had winter board installed, and he didn't. My phone crashed quite a bit more, and "lags" when it's at home screen. Oh well, no need to jailbreak anymore. Been running vanilla latest iOS, and it's been solid ever since. *Knocks on wood*

I'm pretty sure Winterboard and my hacked Siri and probably the biggest contributors to awful performance

Technically i should be recievng the lag.[/QUOTE] You also have a display with more than half the display resolution, you also have to consider manufacturer modifications to Android, you have to consider the different GPU's. Out of the box, you cannot compare 2 Android phones unless they are the same model. The Galaxy S on stock is an AWFUL phone, it was slow and buggy. Touchwiz was terrible, the filesystem they used was somehow just fucking retarded, the more you used it the slower the device itself would get, which is why after a couple of weeks you'd have to do an EXT3 or EXT4 conversion.

And this is why I'm saying now is the time to jump onto the Android boat. I still am not a huge fan of the platform but with how mediocre WP7 is and iOS' desires to never move forward, it's probably the best platform as of now.
