It's always a better idea to RMA it if it's still covered under the warranty.

From what I remember seeing, it's only a 10% increase or so between SB and IB, as far as processing power goes. Power draw dropped, heat went up*, and the integrated GPU improved significantly, but those aren't likely to impact you as much. * The processor itself generates slightly less heat, but because the die size shrank, it has less area to transfer the heat, so temperatures generlly increased.
