Got my K90, doing unboxing and first impressions of it. 1) looks amazing 2) quieter than my G510 Lul 3) Cable feels great 4) penis.
4) penis.
It looks like a great keyboard, but it's inexcusable that they used rubber dome instead of Cherry MX switches at escape, function keys, backspace, enter, space, the whole block above the arrow keys and the macro keys (and apparently G and H). [editline]22nd July 2012[/editline] My opinion on mechanical keyboards: If you want to get a quality one, you have to stick to the old and odd brands.
I also got a razor "Goliathus" extended pad. I remember seeing that they claimed it was the largest pad you can buy. My Xtracs XXL makes it look like a pad for ants. Seriously. It's just a normal pad but super wide. I feel like I'm going to run out of space all the time. I'm considering returning it and buying yet another XXL Xtracs Rippper. I like how slick the razor is but the issue I have is that Ir'a only like 10 inches deep. I tend to use relatively low sense yet like being able to look around quickly. [editline]21st July 2012[/editline] Also I'm making a few mistakes but it only took me about 10 minutes of messing with it and my hands have done pretty well to memorize where things are. It's louder since I bottom out the keys constantly, but at the same time I'm not shaking my desk. [editline]21st July 2012[/editline] Other issue I'm having is that some keys seem to have inconsistent resistance. I'm not talking about esc or the F keys. The shift key and the space key feel really wierd to type with because my thumb and other fingers literally hit and and stop. I have to put plenty of pressure to move them. They are actuating so maybe I don't need to actually go all the way, but still feels tougher to hit space, ALT, or CTRL. Besides that it feels better to type on. These are Cherry REDs for those wondering. [editline]21st July 2012[/editline] Not to mention the keys have a grip on the, causing me unable to slide my finger into position when typing. Fucking annoying as shit. Why do you put grips on keys? Why? [editline]21st July 2012[/editline] Going to keep it for a few days, but I don't like it much at all.
largest pad you can buy.
I beg to differ.

Me or you. I said they claimed it. Take it up with them.
Me.
You shouldn't even give Razer your money, their mice are ok but they're a gaymen brand.
You shouldn't even give Razer your money, their mice are ok but they're a gaymen brand.
I'm definitely returning the mousepad. I was hoping to find a harder version of my ripper to avoid slowely losing slickness, and razors looked good.

On another note, I really hope Corsair don't go down the gaming path, they're becoming more like Razer with every product they release, except the new bitchin' fans/RAM.
I'm seriously considering sending this board back monday or Tuesday and then investigating a ducky shine like before. I feel like more money was spent on the brushed aluminum back than the design.
You shouldn't even give Razer your money, their mice are ok but they're a gaymen brand.
The blackwidow is a pretty ok mechanical if you can look past the ricey exterior you're paying extra for that's true for a bunch of their products actually
Anybody have some good windows 7 visual styles? DeviantArt VS section is like wading through shit. I'd love it if it was either minimal or based on Windows 8.
I can't take Razer seriously after that "PC GAMING IS NOT DEAD" incident
After playing TF2 on this keyboard, It's easier to use and I have to use the keyboard at an angle or else I keep hitting the caps lock. G510 didn't have this issue because it has a slight indentation on the keyboard to give a gap between the A key and the caps lock key. It is nicer to type on now that i'm used to it. And I'm making a lot less errors, maybe I just had too much hype for it. I will see how I like it when I go back to work and type on a 5 dollar Dell keyboard. My main issue now is some of the grip on the keys, they sort of feel like my fingers stick to it. And the space bar has more resistance so it absorbs my thumbs pressure which makes it feel like I'm wearing out my thumb. I wish I could loosen it. It would make typing much nicer I think. I'm already typing much faster on this now that I'm use to it. Feels quite nice to go TAAKAKAKAKAKAKAKAKAKAA Since on the membrane i'm already sort of strong in my typing due to the pressure needed.
Speaking of keyboards my extended familys keyboard have a huge issue. Certain keys require extreme pressure like the u key, space bar, t x v and g key. It really hammers typing speed.
That usually means it's time to clean the keyboard.
Or it could just be it's a shitty Chinese cyber brand :v:
Both.
Holy fucking shit, that means you get 17 of those case sticker things... I envy you. Not for the CPUs or the SSDs, but for THOSE FUCKING STICKERS.
Haha. Thank you for reminding me of those stickers. Totally slipped my mind.
Or it could just be it's a shitty Chinese cyber brand :v:
I have had a terrible 1$ keyboard and it never had problems with keystrokes/registering keys. However: it did end up frying my USB port.
Haha. Thank you for reminding me of those stickers. Totally slipped my mind.
Make sure you put 2 stickers on the boxes with 2 Xeons.
Depends on what you're upgrading from, and how much you're willing to spend on an improvement. From what I remember seeing, it's only a 10% increase or so between SB and IB, as far as processing power goes. Power draw dropped, heat went up*, and the integrated GPU improved significantly, but those aren't likely to impact you as much. * The processor itself generates slightly less heat, but because the die size shrank, it has less area to transfer the heat, so temperatures generlly increased.
Nah, I believe intel fixed the heat issue. It was because intel was using cheap thermal paste between the die and the IHS, it's back to solder now if I'm not mistaken.

I'm trying to come up with something witty to do with this current bat conversation and batman, but can't. It makes me sad.
Just the 4.
Couldn't you tell someone to come deal with it?
i calmed down now, and no i took the fucking lamp shade off and threw that shit as far as i could out of the back door (a forest is behind them) [editline]22nd July 2012[/editline] and for the birds thing too in my first post [t]http://www.jrcompton.com/photos/The_Birds/J/April-07jpix/JR73148-Grackle.jpg[/t] [t]http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-k3oMlTPNb5s/T8aFQfYUhHI/AAAAAAAAG3U/0dOgayYSMIA/s1600/grackle.jpg[/t] these cockmunchers are what i'm talking about, they shit on my car all the time too
