i doubt it, i don't think they ever made anything that special. [editline]23rd July 2012[/editline]
Ask for a 3DFX card
Lol'd
Where?
-Edited for below- It's OcUK but the order price is just bugged for some reason.
I think he means what website.
Great. The guy in charge of Macs here at the center wants to update every system to Mountain Lion. On the 25th. When it comes out. WITH ABSOLUTELY NO COMPATIBILITY TESTING. This will be hundreds of systems.
Sounds like you are in for some fun times
-Edited for below- It's OcUK but the order price is just bugged for some reason.
Does it allow you to order?
Does it allow you to order?
I already ordered it on the 5th but I went to looks back today to see if it was dispatched (waiting on the mobo to come into stock) and it said that. Would be interesting if something good came out of this (unlikely). :v:
Excuse me for the quality of the video, bad lighting in this room. The buzzing noise was coming from my speakers. Tried playing Half-Life on lowest settings, 640x480, and as usual, the card died after about 30m of gameplay. Temps were 71 °C at the time of the crash, so I do think this card is about to die very soon. Note that I experienced the same thing over and over again before the cap blew up, this just confirmed my theory that the crashes have nothing to do with temperature or putting settings too high (even though that shouldn't cause any problems other than FPS drop).

What?
The video is private for me.
Turn on VSync.
Change the video from "private" to "unlisted".
Done and done.
What just happened? I'm okay with this.
I'LL TAKE EIGHT
Change the video from "private" to "unlisted".
What am I meant to do, It's Vista's video.
I already changed it to unlisted.
So I was at Currys yesterday and they had a bunch of demo Macbooks. All of which were logged out and password protected. Swell job Currys.
Anybody know how good those cyborg gaming lights are?
I am buying a macbook pro retina in a couple of days. On a scale of 1-10, how much am I going to regret this? Haha.
I am buying a macbook pro retina in a couple of days. On a scale of 1-10, how much am I going to regret this? Haha.
well it's mostly a matter of "what other things can this money go to" if you explicitly saved up money for it, I don't think you'll regret it
For the price you're paying vs what you're getting? 9/10
I am buying a macbook pro retina in a couple of days. On a scale of 1-10, how much am I going to regret this? Haha.
It's not like it will be a bad machine. I'm sure you'll love it. I'd love one, but I don't have a use for a laptop. I'd much more likely put my money into a powerful work station like I have now and then go with cheaper lighter mobile devices.
Depends on what you're gonna use it for.
Uni work, internet surfing and stuff like that. Also, some casual gaming. I'm thinking if I spend the money on the MBPr then it should last me throughout the 4 years at uni. Oh yeah and it would be replacing my desktop.
well it's mostly a matter of "what other things can this money go to" if you explicitly saved up money for it, I don't think you'll regret it
I've been saving up for a laptop and all the powerful windows one look ugly and massive. I've never owned a mac before but I find it very appealing. I can get the macbook for £1528 with the student discount. EDIT: When I say 'casual gaming' I mean I would probably only play CS:GO when that comes out. Not sure if it works on OS X but then I can always use bootcamp.
I am buying a macbook pro retina in a couple of days. On a scale of 1-10, how much am I going to regret this? Haha.
I don't get all the fuss about retina displays and high DPI density, it's not like having a fancy display panel suddenly costs $600-700 extra.

Apple's retina MBP is a total ripoff.
I like progress too, but at what cost? Apple's retina MBP is a total ripoff.
I certainly wouldn't spend the money, but someone else might think it's worth it. On the bright side it's kind of forcing other manufacturers' hand.
But beats are really crappy.
Not that bad though.
-goddamnit-
