CIPWTTKT&GC v0x14 (v20): Turning it off and on all day every day

I don't know about you guys much, but I use the default TRRRRRRRRRRR alarm usually.
But I used some of the Inception songs for a while. That was fucking awesome, especially when you are in deep sleep and it fucks your dream up. But that does not happen often though.
If I'm still in deep sleep by the time my alarm's about to go off, chances are I'm not getting up. I'm a really heavy sleeper.
'the hell, I just uploaded something to google docs to share with someone, and immediately some anonymous user with a russian name popped up in the viewing thing. Hrrm.

yeah
or craptastic as I call it (because comcast is a terrible company)
Well shit, half the RAM slots on my M4A78-EM just stopped.
If there are any sticks in either of them, the PC won't even POST.
If i get a new board, anyone want this thing? It still works, sort of.

Make sure the RAM is properly seated and that the contacts on the modules are alright. I can (unfortunately) say from experience that if the modules are improperly inserted at least my computer doesn't POST.

I've tried about 8 different sticks, all had the same result.

Heh, I went wardriving on my bicycle a few days ago.
Some guys wifi was called Pretty Fly For a Wifi.
Other had like, If you want it too, call [number]
Also Trojanhorse, Cat, unclejohn, SuspectOfVirus, waterfish, ThereIsNoFishHere, HumanAintAFish, Rasputin.
But there were so many general SpeedTouch[xxxxxxx] and TPLink[xxxxx] and THOMSON[xxxxxx]
Also some unprotected linksys-es here and there.
And guess how many of them had a password? out of 350, 25 were unprotected. And half of them were like paid AP-s, for like using it for 15 minutes then having to pay X amount for a hour or so. Or some school-s wifi.
I use my current phone ringtone as my alarm. My logic is "who the fuck is calling me oh it's my alarm." It also helps to have my phone on the other side of my room when it goes off.
if your ringtone isn't working:

I'm not going to research ear rape because I can't afford to replace these headphones.
It's goddamn hard to find a compatible, high capacity battery for my T61. Like 90% of the batteries are for the 4:3, not the 16:9 models. The ones compatible with my laptop are just out of my price range...

Something must be wrong with my PC...

According to AI Suite the CPU temperatures were never over 70C, though.
How heavy you sleep often has to do with how noisy the enviroment you sleep in is, if I have my noisy as fuck AC on when I sleep I need a goddamn foghorn to wake me up. Also using your phone or the likes for an alarm clock usually only works for so long before you learn to tune out your alarm signal.
The only reliable way to wake up in the morning I found is to buy a big ass speaker system and set it to play a music file whenever you wanna get up, then just crank the volume before you go to bed.

This is on a production system connecting to a label printer. It used to have an ingeniously constructed rope support bridge that someone made, but its now held in place by the computer being rammed up against the wall.
Just thought I’d share!

At least you have 3G.
Well it seems the thunder fried my router.
At least it wasn't anything valuable
And my friends always laugh at me when I unplug my computer during a thunder storm.

my dad has everything electronic and expensive connected to one extension cord for this reason
Well yes there is a difference (Your PSU most likely has surge protection), honestly I don't get how someone would feel safe plugging any devices into a power source that doesn't have proper surge protection but hey.

Quite, quality surge protection isn't very expensive and can save you tons of cash one day.
A half decent surge protector is worth it. My Dynex has a warranty that covers damage to devices from lightning or surges up to $150k, so I'm pretty comfortable in storms unless I'm working on something.
I have like 3 surge protectors just for my PC, one for the house, one for my rooms circuit and one right here.
alarm clocks, eh? here's my choice

Was just messing about in the addons manager in Firefox Aurora and saw this neat video.

(Should work in any Windows version of Firefox, even Linux too maybe). Found it quite clever how it manipulates the web page and browser while watching it (Without spoiling too much).

It took me a while before I found out what you were talking about.
That's pretty clever, actually.
And my friends always laugh at me when I unplug my computer during a thunder storm.
My dad used to be piss-scared during lightning and he'd shut down the TV and the living room computer and unplug them.
I had to explain to him at least a couple of times that there's at least 20 lightning rods in this block alone, not to mention the trees go up a heck of a lot higher than any of the apartment houses.
There's just no possible way that the current would be able to get even close to us.
I'm actually pretty sure there's a law in Finland that requires the installation of lightning rods in apartment houses.
I always unplug my studio gear during a lighting storm. Although the chance of anything is unlikely I'd rather not take the risk. Yes I do have surge protectors.
Coincidently I am self studying BS7671 17th Edition in order to take the C&G test.
Does anyone here know how much vodka it takes to get someone drunk
because I think I just did something really stupid
not a lot, but really depends on the person.
