2 of these I guess http://www.komplett.no/k/ki.aspx?sku=657876
Red vengeance looks like shit IMO. And the fuckhuge heatspreader thingy.
well what you linked was 2x2GB and 8GB is not really futureproofing
well what you linked was 2x2GB and 8GB is not really futureproofing
Well there is http://www.komplett.no/k/ki.aspx?sku=745707 set of it. But the price...
Norway where everything is 2 or 3x more expensive than in the USA/germany etc.
I would max want 16GB, tbh i would rather like one of those muskin red line or what they are called again.
I was going to get a Zenbook, but I chose too much power in the end. I love the laptop, but for ease of carry I may pick up a nexus7 or a cheap netbook. [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/jmdjv.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/1Ghzr.jpg[/img_thumb]
Learn to resize images or use img_thumb
Forgot Facepunch doesn't auto resize.
But if you do not care about the color, go for http://www.komplett.no/k/ki.aspx?sku=650284 [editline]24th July 2012[/editline]
Learn to resize images or use img_thumb
I use [t][/t] because that is easier than [img_thumb] or whatever.
Now firefox is at ~700MB and won't go down.
Go to about:memory Press "Minimize memory usage" wait
Go to about:memory Press "Minimize memory usage" wait
Did go down after 15 minutes I guess. Because now it is at the old 350MB it usually sits at . But now I must remember it until next time I open shit like that, thanks.
How is that possible
Actually those are two consecutive frames, he's just faking the fraps counter.
omg i just found my old computer from like 2005 with a pentium D all the files are still there fucking hell has it really been eight years
fucking hell has it really been eight years
nope [editline]24th July 2012[/editline] Seven years :v:
prriiiiiiceeee
$970 USD As a Dane, I paid that price, plus 25% VAT
caring about RAM heatsink colors
This thing rocks [t]http://i.imgur.com/Jjza4.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/4lUYO.jpg[/t]
Zenbooks are fucking awesome
Not like you'll ever use more than 8GB at the most extreme cases.
I'm constantly running out with my 16gb. I'm waiting for Gskill to make DDR3-1600 sniper 8GB modules and then move to 32gb. Right now I'd go with corsair LP's but I want 99924 1600
I'm constantly running out with my 16gb. I'm waiting for Gskill to make DDR3-1600 sniper 8GB modules and then move to 32gb. Right now I'd go with corsair LP's but I want 99924 1600
Well, you. It's not like everyone has infinite money :saddowns:
Can't you just disable your pagefile if you have a crap-tonne of RAM?
The logic of windows requires a pagefile. Even if it's like 8mb. I remember reading a toms hardware topic about pagefiles and that you can go without at like 8GB. But my system shits itself if I don't have atleast 10gb setup with my 16GB. Though normally when recording minecraft javaw.exe can use upwards of 9-10gb on its own.
$970 USD As a Dane, I paid that price, plus 25% VAT
What the hell that's a great price I'd get one and make a little mount thing that connected it to a bunch of peripherals and basically just have it as a sometimes portable desktop
Well, you. It's not like everyone has infinite money :saddowns:
He said even in extreme cases you don't need more than 8gb unless I have terrible reading skills.
What the hell that's a great price I'd get one and make a little mount thing that connected it to a bunch of peripherals and basically just have it as a sometimes portable desktop
I consider doing that for a week, just to see what it's like :v:
He said even in extreme cases you don't need more than 8gb unless I have terrible reading skills.
maybe that wasn't a passive "you" but actually meant him? [editline]25th July 2012[/editline] But I mean man your cases are beyond extreme they're the most extremest in Sipwicket
The Kingston ram. First box is a mixture of 8GB ECC for the E3's and 8GB ECC Registered for the E5's + 4 sticks of 1600 4GB. The 2nd box is all 8GB ECC for E3's, third box ( far right ) is all 8GB ECC sticks. 25 sticks total per box
I think you can play Minecraft now
I think you can play Minecraft now
He can only go up to a 32x texture pack though.
I think you can play Minecraft now
I'd speculate that he'd end up using it for a RAMDisk, no?
Anyone know if there are also these from kingston in grey/black? http://www.komplett.no/k/ki.aspx?sku=585007 Also i would love to buy Kingston T1's I could buy 2 kits for 163$ These ones which run at 2133mhz http://www.komplett.no/k/ki.aspx?sku=751790 I would have then 16GB, Also i need 4 because the Asus Rampage IV Formula which i want to get has only 4 slots.
Also, does power4gear actually do anything other than spam you with power setting presets?
Nope. I always made sure not to install it every time I formatted my old M50, and I'm never putting it on here, either. Completely useless. [editline]24th July 2012[/editline] Oh, and on the subject of pagefiles, I just put mine on my hard drive instead of my SSD. Although it could slow my system down, with 12GB of RAM I don't think I'm going to have that issue (and I'm also paranoid about SSD life). [editline]24th July 2012[/editline] Oh, and I should really try out GTA4 on this thing. It can max out Skyrim and Crysis; it should be able to handle it.
