CIPWTTKT&GC v0x14 (v20): Turning it off and on all day every day

Heh.
I just had the urge to play some good old UT2004. Just a few quick Last Man Standing rounds.
I install it, launch it. It defaults to minimum resolution - 640x480 windowed. On a 1920x1080 screen, it looked TINY.
I actually ended up having to edit a config file to get it to run at full resolution - the highest setting in the menu is 1600x900 or something like that.
I should have grabbed a screenshot.

I wish they would make remakes of games Like Ut2004 just with graphics like Ut3 or something.
Same goes for Bf1942 it would be nice to play it with the same mechanics and all that only with better graphics etc.

Only if you're willing to conform to black and white or brown color palletes. Dont forget about the DLC weapon packs in which the ion painter and redeemer are only available in.
"UT:Reincarnation BIG BOOM DLC PACK YEAH" - $6.50
I rebuilt Cowon Clock in Rainmeter today
What have I done

Now using League Gothic. I never knew how easy it was to make Rainmeter skins until now.
XBMC runs impressively well on my Raspberry Pi, especially after overclocking the CPU to 900 MHz. It's funny, the Pi plays back video better than the large, noisy Xbox we're currently using. Now I just need to get the Xbox remote working, which should work out of the box but for some reason it doesn't seem to be picking it up (I have a USB adapter cable for it).

It is aliased.

Just fixed it, turns out there's an Antialias=1 for Rainmeter. Won't post a pic unless people actually care about it. Also, I just modified the existing one quite a bit, not actually built it. Not sure why I said made instead of modified.
It is aliased.
okay anti aliased then i'm sorry that i get that confused :v:

is there any way to make the start menu smaller?
[editline]25th July 2012[/editline]

at least we don't have to worry about the avatars confusing us for a while

Right click the start menu, open properties and then click customize.
Change the items displayed to whatever.
But there IS a limit to how small it can get

Hide items and also decrease the jumplist item count as well.

ew
I just opened windows 8 for the first time and played around with it for a while
All I can say is "WHY?", who thought that just putting a touch UI on a desktop OS is a good idea
dear god teach me
Right click start button, properties
"Customize..."
Click the radio button for "don't display this item" for all items
Number of recent programs to display and number of recent items in jump lists can go down to 0
Edit:
Glad you were capable of figuring it out yourself
ehh fuck it
I tried out windows 8 in a VM and it confused the hell out of me. The metro thing is interesting, but it's not helpful at all.
Microsoft: Nobody uses the start menu.
I disagree.

I use the Start menu quite a bit too, I don't like how Microsoft is turning Metro into a second desktop. However, you can search immediately when opening the start menu, so if you get into that habit early, you'll barely notice the switch when it happens.
Every single app in win 8 is touch oriented
You have to use touch gestures for everything
The game section sells xbox games instead of pc games
The start button is removed so the desktop is now useless
I am so sad now, I was looking forward to Windows 8. Why, microsoft?

Desktop is still useful, but yes, Microsoft is stupid for trying to push the touch agenda towards the market where 1% of the PCs have touchscreens.
Android is better with a mouse and keyboard, at least everything in there makes sense

Yeah you can type to search at the metro screen, but it only searches Apps, and requires extra input to get it to search files or settings, which is often what I'm going for in the first place. I would be totally fine with it if it were still able to search everything simultaneously, but that doesn't seem to be possible.
I don't really use the search bar that much, the only time is when I need an admin cmd (Winkey, cmd, shift-enter).
Calculator? Win+R, calc, enter.
