no I am building a rig for a friend
Well what does your friend do? Because chances are the 690 is way overkill.
So my other keyboard randomly decided to switch to Dvorak, okay
We are not preparing our anuses for your pleasure. In other news, I discovered that my Samsung Galaxy Mini has a weird way of displaying it's battery percentage, or rather how it does not.
I'm talking about google fiber you silly
I bought a Flirc today. It's an interesting idea, you can use any remote and program the dongle rather than the computer. It just shows up as a USB keyboard, so you don't need to worry about drivers, which I was doing with the Xbox DVD Remote. It's perfect for what I need on my Raspberry Pi and laptop. $35 for the device and the less-shitty USPS international shipping was a tad steep, though I'd prefer a well made product over something I'll need to fiddle with for hours... I'm looking at you, Xbox remote.
we should all go and share a flat in Kansas you guys
Ah, I see you heard about the Google Fiber thing. You getting the free 5mbps, or the 1gbps for $70?
I live in Argentina so I'll be getting the 1gbps along with a free HL3 copy when it comes to my city in two thousand and never.

Pure lead wall? Is she living inside a nuclear reactor?
Want a modmic, never in stock. Or maybe 2.0 is almost done so they're waiting till then, which would be nice.
Well what does your friend do? Because chances are the 690 is way overkill.
he is pretty rich and wants to game on 4 monitors
Pure lead wall? Is she living inside a nuclear reactor?
I don't think they are actually pure lead, But they seem to have that effect. Otherwise i might have to start investigating that humming sound coming from the basement "Aircon"..Right

I just noticed that my parent's netbook is having the webcam constantly on for some reason What should I do? Should I do a virus scan?
Yes
I just noticed that my parent's netbook is having the webcam constantly on for some reason What should I do? Should I do a virus scan?
Webcam paranoia plagues me
he is pretty rich and wants to game on 4 monitors
wouldn't that be kinda shit because it'd be divided down the middle where you're focusing
https://fiber.google.com/ Wow
So I put on some of the Orings I got. Big difference. It goes from a KLAKLAKLAKALALAKAKAKA to a DudDudDudDud. I got the 0.2mm thickness ones that supposedly keep some tactile feedback. I'm tempted to put in another order for the softest kind.

What are the HAF's different by country or something? Or are you joking.
Man, it's weird to play a game and have the loading screen pre-rendered images look *worse* than the in-game graphics.
What are the HAF's different by country or something? Or are you joking.
learn [sub] tags.
learn [sub] tags.
Oh I didn't see the scroll bar on the side of the post.
Usually it's the other way around, what game you playing exactly?
Trackmania and UT2004 act that way. Probably tons more, but those are the two I've experienced. UT2004 makes sense - it was made before 1920x1080 was even a thing. So of course the pre-rendered graphics will look worse, because they're being stretched to fit a screen about twice the size they thought was possible. I actually had to edit a few config and force some driver settings to get in-game looking "good", because they don't have menus for antialiasing or anisotropic filtering. Trackmania's weirder. I think they just compressed the images too much - looks all pixely and blurry. Or maybe they just forgot to make 16:9 screens.

And now, I have to go find my UT2k4 discs. Thanks.

I have too little space to keep it installed.

One executable for 3 games (TM2, Shootmania, Questmania). http://www.maniaplanet.com/
