I have a feeling that those Best Buy incidents have something to do with that ad.
I get really annoyed at people calling computer programs "apps" for some reason
What the shit is this
I expected a punch in the face after the guy confirmed he was a genius. Also, the apple on the shirt is a sticker, just look at its shadow.
All that implies that computer shops are shady shit as well as PCs. Thanks for taking a shit on my business you cunts apple.
Was helping some people clean out an apartment (owner was moving to an old folks home). After tons of cat hair and general nastieness, We found this I asked if they wanted it and they said no, So it's mine now :v: Love the feel of it. Apart from some dust in the corners, It looks almost new. Got 3 lenses and a pistol grip for it too Good day all around. Wonder if i can find some film somewhere (that wont cost as much as a small house)
I get really annoyed at people calling computer programs "apps" for some reason
Weird, I actually do that. But only for really small programs, usually ones that are only good for a single thing: For instance: Chrome - not an app Steam - not an app GIMP - not an app Calculator - app CPU-Z - app Notepad - app (but Notepad++ is a program) I actually have a whole taxonomy: Application - the biggest, for things that are arguably *too* big (eg. OpenOffice, Visual Studio) Program - something big, but not massive (eg. Chrome, VLC, Blender) App - something tiny, with only one or two real uses (eg. CPU-Z) Command - a command-line program that is often just part of a line (eg. grep, sed) There's some blurring there. For instance, Firefox could be called either an application or a program. 7zip could be called either a program or an app.
I've had this Hiren's Boot 9.5 bootCD for like two years now on a Verbatim CD, it's more scratches than actual readable surface and still works somehow, decided to make a copy today, watch as this shitty local brand CD disintegrates in the second use
Thanks sipwicket, because of you I spent my entire day playing Freelancer because someone mentioned it. 9.416 fucking hours of Freelancer in one sitting. Goddammit.
do any of you guys use high dpi settings on your mice? like 3000 onwards. just wondering since I saw that new razer mouse which boasts 8200 dpi. who would even need that ungodly amount of dpi

The mouse you're talking about has 2 damned laser, looks like a R.A.T. and looks like a UFO from beneath.
I use 800 and 1200, 2000 in extreme cases of needed lots of mouse movement. I could go up to 5600, but I never will.
I get really annoyed at people calling computer programs "apps" for some reason
I call programs applications because that's the word most people are used to
I call them apps because its faster to say I am part of the cancer, oh well
Nonono not applications, "application" is okay it's just "apps" I have a problem with
I have Speakers from Europe which do not work with the standard american plug converters. (with those ) Are there any powered converters or anything like that? I really want to use those

I really want to use those
Powered speakers? What speakers are they? What do you mean, the plug doesn't physically fit (Answer is lop off the plug and put a new one on or if it's an IEC lead, get a new lead) or they won't run off 110V? (We use 240V) - In which case you'd need a transformer to step the 110V up to 240V.
Be glad that it's not the reverse situation with the voltage, else you'd have fried your speakers.
Be glad that it's not the reverse situation with the voltage, else you'd have fried your speakers.
Most products will have a limiter anyway.
What the shit is this
why did I expect the guy he bought from to be Chinese
Computer PSU's just LOVE the extra voltage!
Didn't we have a sipwicket v. "I flick psu power switch" or something like that once
Computer PSU's just LOVE the extra voltage!
Noticed how any decent power supply actually has a voltage regulator to handle that?
My old as shit social studies teacher asked what an A P P was once. No one understood until I said "app you idiots" then everyone tried to explain it. It was saddening to hear people say what they think apps are
I just worked a 47 hour week. What did I miss...?
shrome hit puberty [editline]28th July 2012[/editline] just kidding
Nope, I've only heard of people flicking the switch on college or school computers, Surely nobody is dumb enough to do it to their own (possibly better built) hardware. And I'm not surprised at the reaction considering the cheap POS Dell's and HP's most schools have.
No decent power supplies have a voltage switch since they can manage both.
What the shit is this
That was a horrible commercial, usually apple advertisements are well done though it's as if they hired Microsoft's ad team for this one.
Out of boredom, i designed a ghetto aircon unit It's like a bong, but it's automatic and there is no weed.
