Sad that the humble music bundle is getting so little attention they should have added some games or something, JoCo and Frontalot are great artists
..wait, there's a new humble bundle?
See what I mean? Yeah, http://www.humblebundle.com/ Five albums and some extra songs and sheet music starting at a cent.
I never got an e-mail about it from their site. Huh.
Just imagine straightening out a few bent CPU pins and they just snap off instead.
If that happens, you can apparently straighten the pin out, drop it into the hole, then plug the CPU in and it'll still work.
Huh, now that you mention it I didn't either that's odd
Sometimes you can get away with a missing pin on a CPU. One of my socket 478 p4s has a missing pin and works fine.

I saw the HDMI version of those on Newegg once, it was during a sale and a 20 foot cable or something that was normally like $50 was $9. When I saw the name I burst out laughing and actually ordered one for shits and giggles.
Has anyone else had the joy of smashing one of these with a sledgehammer? Because I got to do that today.
That's called "office space-ing"

We got a huge donation yesterday of about 30 desktops, 25 laptops (pretty damn good ones too), and about 15 printers (most are giant-ass office type printers that we can't even use because the toner is like, 500 bucks). Don't forget a shit ton of flat panel 4:3 monitors, because we got those too, so many that my boss told us to take a few for free if we wanted. [editline]3rd August 2012[/editline] So for some reason when I plug my third monitor to my other GPU it won't even detect it. Anyone know how to fix this?
So for some reason when I plug my third monitor to my other GPU it won't even detect it. Anyone know how to fix this?
If your other GPU is integrated then it might have gotten disabled when you plugged the non-integrated GPU (I forget the word) in.
If your other GPU is integrated then it might have gotten disabled when you plugged the non-integrated GPU (I forget the word) in.
Nope. I have a 6870 and a 6850 crossfired.
I think the crossfire is what's causing it to not work then. [editline]2nd August 2012[/editline] Also I swear Firefox is fucking with me Every time I go into about:config to enable the per-tab taskbar previews I can't find it, even if I searched the correct string. It's like it's invisible until after I've Googled it.

I just noticed that song is featured in GTA:SA. Or at least a snippet of it.
I came home from vacation yesterday, turn on the ADSL router as usual. It starts up as it should, but it can't establish a connection. Now, there's been a couple of thunderstorms here while we've been away, but the router was able to turn on, so everything should be good right? I open it up to see if anything's wrong: Gee, I wonder why it doesn't work...

Check you cabling, the construction crew might've routed the internet backbone into your computer. An internet backbone looks like a normal ethernet cable, but with a slight colour change.
£1,200 is much less impressive in person, it's amazing what you can get for old hardware.
Ask for it on the lowest value note available next time :v
HOW THE FUCK DOES THAT EVEN HAPPEN?
Most likely by a power surge in the telephone line :(
I have some content for y'all today. This happened a couple days ago after a party with my relatives, and we were talking. So anyway, I was talking to some people about some Google Fiber stuff, and how they are offering free internet, etc. Well, I stumbled onto the bit about how much faster it was for the price, also their TV service which would be run through the same cable, before I was interrupted by one of my relatives. I forgot where he started, but he started saying stuff like "the phone-line is faster than cable" and that how everything should be run through the phone-line, and how that our television shows should also come through the phone line. He also said that satellite was much better than any sort of wire, but that the only problem was that with a little weather it would get interference. He used this service called "HughesNet" as an example (HughesNet is a satellite internet provider, and although it is a little faster than dial up, it is no where near DSL.) Anyways, I kept trying to explain this stuff before I just said "lets talk later" and just got up and talked to my literate aunt (who was listening to our conversation) and we had a laugh. There was a point where we started talking about how macs don't get viruses, but I explained it to the relatives wife, who actually listened.
Well fuck, my ZM-VE 200 SE's logic board just died, not only that, i've got about 10 days to sort ~20 clients PCs out. :suicide:
