CIPWTTKT&GC v0x14 (v20): Turning it off and on all day every day

It's so hot out my computer's temperature sensors keep tripping
I was putting together some old parts earlier, a Pentium 4 HT in some old Dell case/motherboard with 4GB of RAM, was going to set up a little server under my bed for webhosting because I'm currently learning PHP as well as using it for Minecraft and Teamspeak.
I was putting the processor in, got a nosebleed and the blood got in the socket and now I can't get it out (even though it's most likely fucked now anyway). Oh cock.

Try hydrogen peroxide, it removes blood from clothing quite well... Not sure how it works with CPU sockets though.

I read this post without reading the quote itself and I was a little bit scared
If there's any Australians in this thread considering a new GPU, here's some masturbatory fuel for you:

I have seen a lot of stupid people, but that is stupidity on a brand new level
eh eh for it's price it's good but I would invest more money into a better heatsink $400 for a GTX 670 that isn't the jetstream version or equivelent might be prone to heat issues.
I have exactly the same model from exactly the same retailer (paid $479 for it a few months ago), and no heat issues. I think it's just the reference design, it runs without any problems.
Avast keeps detecting steam as malware and there is nothing I can do to stop it
Damn it
Look what I found today guys!

I had that a few days ago, it's a false positive. It was fixed in an update for me.
I stopped the file system shield, allowed steam to update, then added the folder "steam" to my exclusion list, started the module again and now were fine.
Ok what the fuck, just got it again, this time it's the overlay that it killed.
Cleaning my room, decided to check up on my pc aswell.
Cleaned it last month, but never really got around to cleaning my cpu cooler,

that explains some things..

gross
Maybe it's time to stop using Avast if it kills Steam all the time?
Maybe it's time to stop using Avast if it kills Steam all the time?
Once != All The Time
Or you could just, oh gee, update to the version where steam aint a false positive?
Prepare your anus for scottish penis.
No, I'm the Scottish one. He isn't. And no penis will be involved in anything.
Ugh, having a runny nose and coughs fucking sucks during summer.
But I guess you will go hiking, have a few beers and might play the prison simulator.
Party Pooper.
That won't happen either.
gross
You should've seen behind my desk, i have 3 cats, who all love to sit in the tight space between my desk and the wall. There probably was enough hair to make a pair of socks. Everything nice and clean now, and didn't break my PC while cleaning it :v:
[editline]5th August 2012[/editline]
I also fixed up cables in my room, this was the network before:
[t]http://a.yfrog.com/img808/2270/v92kb.jpg[/t]
I'll post the after later, but made some new cables that properly fit the length, and attached wifi hotspot to the wall
Once != All The Time
I don't get why you people have problems with avast works just fine for me, and it never said anything about steam.

is that really arctic camo wallpaper?
Oh shit, my GPU does not know how to increase fan speed, so I am idling at 75C
Well, it sits here completely quietly, doesn't ramp up when it goes fuckhigh and generally doesn't give a fuck. Not even an articificvaatat when playing games.
is that really arctic camo wallpaper?
Probably urban camo, keep in mind that i picked that when i was 12-13
Can you override the fan speed in MSI Afterburner?
Nope, I have a custom fan curve too.
It says that the fan speed is 80%, even though it is actually on like 30 or so.
And putting it back to the auto one, closing Afterburner and whatnot still does not fix it.
That feel when you can't do anything for a week cause parts are shipping
Should have gotten a seasonic gold instead of a bronze or bought a laptop a week earlier grumble grumble
Try a Linux live CD to rule out a driver issue.
Not a driver issue, a hardware issue.
Fan wasn't running, had to push it to start it.
Turned off my PC, turned it on again, saw the GPU fan not spinning, turned my PC on the side and pushed it a bit so it would start spinning and ta-da, it works.
Now all 3 fans in my PC (And idk, my PSU must have one in it too but I can never see/hear it anyways) have fucked up somehow.
CPU - Sometimes doesn't start, making my CPU run at 100C while under stress
GPU - Sometimes doesn't start, making it to ehh, not that bad of a 90C while under stress. (But I am not sure, maybe it sometimes really doesn't just go from the 30% to the correct one, because it is a bit weird that a single-slot cooler can keep a 4650 that low wo/ fan running)
Intake fan - Goes CHKRHKCHKHRKHCKHKR sometimes while booting, have to punch it to get it to run properly.
[editline]5th August 2012[/editline]
Oh right, GPU fan has went CHRKRHKCHKRHKCHKH too sometimes.
