Am I wierd in that I max it out to 120 on pretty much every game?
I like to see what's happening.
[editline]8th August 2012[/editline]
pretty much every game meaning Battlefield 3, in the main part.
85-90 is my sweet spot, anymore more and I feel it distorts it.

But SMP is fun. But buggy. But still fun.
Also, today it wasn't my GPU fan what failed, it was my CPU fan. Fuck me and my fans :c

Just picked up a 22" Acer AL2216W that's never been used for $80. Going from dual 17" monitors (One messed up lcd, one CRT) to this is awesome

Is there any way to ship/take your computer on a plane without completely destroying it? I'm about to leave for college again and would prefer to fly, but it seems impossible to take my full-tower, 3 stone computer without disassembling it entirely.

Could invest in a small case and some foam to protect the internals.

Can't you just fedex it or something?
Define high FOV.
90 is normal for me, I can easily play with 100-110, but 120 is just weird.
A little late here, but it depends on how close you sit to your monitor, I myself can't play on anything higher than 90.
Got the battery slice for my Latitude E4300:

Fuck yeah.
The only downside is you have to disconnect it and charge it with the laptop's wall adapter. I get about 5-6 hours of battery life with the primary battery, which is good enough for most things. If I'm going to be say, sitting in a car for 5 hours watching HD movies or gaming, I may use the battery slice.
Now add an Ultrabay battery to it
Anyone know why webpages load slow on steam, opera, chrome?
I have fiber optics 50mbit and for some reason on the old internet which is about 5mbit load a webpage or steam page faster. But when i download stuff it downloads with 5mb per sec and uploads at 4.1mb per sec.
I really don't understand why webpages load so slow , it does not only happen on my pc but also on the notebooks and netbook.
would an Athlon II X2 245 @ 3GHz bottleneck a 6770
I am not good with computer
fucking tollpost forgot to pick up one of komplett's shipping containers. i recieved my case (Corsair 550D, it gives me a damn hardon beucase there's none of those useless lights in/on it) yesterday, might get the internals tomrrow or on friday.
i didnt really think of making sure i have all the cables i need though. :v:
Well lads. I guess this deserves a moment of silence.
SCO/TSG Group, the owners of UnixWare and OpenServer, the only good UNIX variants on x86, have filed for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy. What that means is, they no longer see the point and are shutting down.
Damn...

Breached 1GB/s, aw yeah.
That would be a huge bottle-neck.
Not really. Not in gaming, at least.
Interesting:
AMD’s FirePro cards now pack substantially more compute power than Nvidia cards at the same price point, by a significant margin – although Nvidia’s Quadro series still dominates the market. The W9000, W8000 and W7000 can all drive up to six 30″ displays at ultra-high 4096×2160 resolutions.

I'm not surprised by this news. Kepler was never good at compute, we knew this since release. Infact, I can see a turn coming soon with people moving away from Teslas and Quadros in favour of FirePro.

I saw a review just yesterday stating that they didn't even match Nvidia's offers in real applications.
I'm not certain on flashing my m4 SSD to the latest firmware, I dunno which version i have at the moment.

Well thats because Cuda has been around longer than GCN.
But it would be nice to see more programs that interact with the gpu be it Cuda or GCN.
