Why?
For fun. Won't hurt anyone would it?
Well that escalated quickly, I got home from mowing lawns yesterday and was going to crimp some ethernet cables after eating dinner and doing the dishes.
Ended up being wrapped around the toilet all night until my dad came back and brought some pills from his girlfriend's. Not fun.
Holy fuck, these have the same purpose? Now I see why I was told to get the one on the bottom.

I use the CPU cooler on the top for my i7.
Because I had no Idea what I as doing, when I built my pc.
Atleast it works.

Fucking tiny.

I'm using it on my i7 too. :( I probably did something retarded, but there was no way of fastening the cover plate for the cpu, so I just slapped on the fan it shipped with.
Before you people say anything, he was coming from a shitty laptop Core2 Duo.
With 4GB of RAM and a Mobility Radeon 3650.
And I ran out of compressed air when I was cleaning my PC
fucking awesome!
Also got a new fan. Old one is fuckdirty. What to do with it?

Clean and keep it.
Love having free access to my dad's industrial air compressor. Paying for compressed air seems like some first world problem kinda thing.

It's a terrible problem. $20 to get a can of compressed air? You gotta be kidding me.
I've heard it's got some weird shit that makes it sticky or damaging too.
Also, question, would it be feasible at some point in the future to build stuff like microprocessors and such delicate components in the vaccum of space? Seeing as the earth is generally pretty dirty and having a clean room down here is expensive and stuff.
Like, having a manufacturing plant in the moon or as a space station or something.

No wonder I fucked up my gaming laptop's fan just by air dusting it.

Seeing as I usually use my air compressor for blow-drying car parts and driving an impact wrench I'm scared of using it on my computer because it seems a bit too powerful for the job of blowing dust out of crevices
All of a sudden, I can view Facepunch again on Mozilla!

Just use it from farther away than you would with a dustoff can or similar. I learnt this lesson when I tried to clean a case fan and ended up snapping half it's blades off. It was a shitty case fan anyways.

Buy a compressor.
I'm not kidding, buy a compressor. One of those small ones. They're loud as hell when compressing the air for obvious reasons but if they don't leak bad the pressure won't go anywhere.

We do have a small 12V one in my dads car.
Or well, If I would want to, I could take my PC and lug it to my fathers work. They have a big industrial compressor there. I mean, it is like 3 metres long. They have the air outlet thingies everywhere.
Also my uncle should have a compressor too in his garage.
We have an air compressor that is meant for filling up tires but its wired for a cigarette lighter in a car. Can't really use it :v:

Takes 12v, you can macgyver a power source if you have an old PSU laying around.
Finally, I upgraded my Zenbook with an 8GB stick which means it now has 10GB of ram :hehe:

Well what I did because my truck is too fucking big to use the cigarette lighter to power it and pump up tires, is take some old jumper cables, cut them, and then ripped an old cigarette lighter out of a scrap car at my buddies place and wired em together. So I just need to take a battery out of my truck, it's got two, and walk to the back tires if need be.
Is anyone here going to Campus Party EU too?

Ah, I thought you meant for using it with mains power.
So I was testing some games, but I got shit framerate, an i7 and gtx670, it was rather disappointing.
So I double clicked the driver installer that was just lying in my downloads folder for an hour... :v:
I've got a huge industrial air compressor in my garage, when me and my dad were building a Lotus 7 we we used it a lot for cleaning things out and pumping up tyres and what not. I want to take it to my heatsink but I'm scared it'll just blow it off and rip the motherboard in half

Do it, I took my PC to mom's job and cleaned it completely.
Also, I made a hole into plastic bottle cap and then screwed it back on top of bottle and filled it with air for like 10 seconds... Instant Rocket!
Good thing that it didn't explode...

why can't I hold all these cds
The factory I work at uses air power for everything, drills, screwdrivers, nail guns, you name it and we have a blower that connects to the air line with a trigger to blow down all the machines, you can have a gentle breeze to something so powerful your hand moves back, should be okay with a computer if you don't squeeze too hard.

You should be fine. Unless you've got an attachment that will rip your skin off. I just did it toa customer's PC.
