Edit: Oh god, they went 8x4GB, they spent like 12k on hardware and gimped their AE work?
Look at the amount of viewers they get. And they are partners with the Node thingy. And the Rocketlauncher thingy (wherever VGHS was hosted at) They should get a shitload every week, shouldn't they? They have 683,662,900 total views. So about every 1000 viewer, they get 1-3$ according to the argument you had at the Nova 1mil subscribers thread. So they have got around $600k + Thats a lot of money.
Has anyone else gotten the Steam Subscriber Agreement coming up when they start steam? And does anyone know why?
Has anyone else gotten the Steam Subscriber Agreement coming up when they start steam? And does anyone know why?
Because they changed it to no suing us or some shit like that.
Has anyone else gotten the Steam Subscriber Agreement coming up when they start steam? And does anyone know why?
Got it maybe a week ago. Valve updated the agreement, So it pops up and asks for approval the first time you restart after the change
Atleast they mostly know what they're doing, even some hardware reviewers have no clue, they're software wizards though.
Because they changed it to no suing us or some shit like that.
It's a "no bullshit class action law suit that just wastes everyone's time" agreement
Was watching a NASA press conferance about curiosity (120 min of space nerdery, yes please) and they started talking about how the computer systems and CPUs aboard worked, and came around to how they updated the software on the rover after landing. All i could think of was someone in mission control doing ssh curiosity@mars Sadly it didn't work :(

Get to work.
It would take 14 minutes for a response anyways. I wish that there would be a faster than light way of data transport. Connection to the rover would be much faster.
Sneak on site and find a spare Ethernet socket :v:
It's totally possible. Just use something to map the entire network and nmap each box. Then you can work out which server is the DNS server.
Sneak on site and find a spare Ethernet socket :v:
I don't suppose anyone over in the US could do it. It's a bit of a long flight across the Atlantic Oh, randomly found This when looking around. I just found a reason to hook up my 360 again :v:
I would die inside a little if they wouldn't have the mission-critical systems totally isolated from the rest of the network.
Somehow I think they would have VLAN set up to separate mission critical and general networking. Or you know, an entirely separate network.
Wouldn't be hard to work out their subnet and config. You could always bruteforce it.
Wouldn't be hard to work out their subnet and config. You could always bruteforce it.
I already know all of this information for Marshall Space Flight Center. :>
Reading this reminds me of that episode of The Big Bang Theory where Howard drives on the moon and gets it stuck.
now i can watch porn in glorious 1080p upgrading from a 1440x900 HP w1907
I already know all of this information for Marshall Space Flight Center. :>
Do they have a connection to Curiosity?
I'm not sure. I know we have connections to the ISS though.
I'm not sure. I know we have connections to the ISS though.
You're no use. ISS is old news. [editline]12th August 2012[/editline] Pfft Space Stations. It's all about Rovers now.
You're no use. ISS is old news. [editline]12th August 2012[/editline] Pfft Space Stations. It's all about Rovers now.
But maybe ISS had some way to get to the Rover. Maybe we can route though it
If we're still doing this... The drunk fat kid in blue is me:
tracert would take a while.
840 000 ms ping time isn't that bad
A direct ssh connection to ISS would be more than enough for me. [SUB]root@iss:~$ shutdown -H now[/SUB]
I have a feeling that we're going to have some government agents knocking on our doors for discussing this stuff...

I didn't know 42 automatically unzipped itself after the first unzip. [editline]11th August 2012[/editline] Stackoverflow tells me this works as recursive unzip:
find . -name "*.zip" | while read filename; do unzip -o -d "`basename -s .zip "$filename"`" "$filename"; done;

find . -name "*.zip" -exec unzip {} \;
That would also do the trick I think.
Does that loop? It won't work if it doesn't loop.
I'll try it out on my raspberry pi.
rip rasberry pi
I can't wait for the day when we can actually fully extract 42.zip Only need 4.5 pettabytes of space.
