I don't believe they mention what GPU it uses. Seeing as how it's got an Atom, I fear it's Intel's IGP chip which has ALWAYS been the breaker for a LOT of laptops (it's 3D performance is TERRIBLE) where everything else in it was good. I have a 2.5ghz C2D laptop with 2gb DDR2 ram, 350gb hard drive, Blu-ray, and 17" display but it uses an IGP and thus it struggles on even HL2.
I'm guessing it'll probably run on an ION, at the least

Just no fucking way.
I'm guessing it'll probably run on an ION, at the least
ION ran crysis comfortably on low didn't it?
Yes, as others have pointed out, it already exists. It's called the Optimus Maximus and it is quite expensive.
2400$, holy shit. For that money I will make my own...
How the fuck are you supposed to run any decent game on an Intel atom processor? My netbook has an Atom, it fucking chugs if you try to run IE on it for fucks sake.
how are you supposed to do text chat in game
how are you supposed to do text chat in game
You don't. Voice chat is where it's at.
how are you supposed to do text chat in game
Presumably the chat key (like was shown on the WoW layout) turns it into a qwerty again.
You guys realize an Atom is as slow as a Pentium III.
Holy jesus that's fucking awesome.
Nevermind, looked at it again.
I don't think it's going to happen. The M11x could hardly handle COD at 30FPS.
ION ran crysis comfortably on low didn't it?
If by comfortably you mean 15 fps maximum. I think ION 2 is far better, though, and might be able to handle it.
I highly doubt that they would even put an ION into the system, seeing how small it is, it is only plausible that there is an Intel Integrated Graphics card. And it will be seriously expensive due to having a fucking display on every key.
And still. No single detail about the specs is revealed except that it is running on a Intel Atom. The newsletter said we are getting more info very soon so i guess around 1-3 weeks
The perfect application for the new AMD processor. And it's completely wasted. Well done, Razer. Still looking forward to this though.

I still cant see myself using a keyboard like this: with one of my action bars which is layed out like this:

But anyway, I think this would work quite well but as others have said, use the new AMD one damnit. As long as the price isn't incredibly high then I reckon this will do well, if it's around $350 I'll definitely get one, been waiting for some handheld PC device for a long time now. Also if it's going to be expensive due to the keyboard, they should release a cheaper version with the fanciness, although it will be complicated and might rule out the whole "will work on every game" thing seeing as you'd have to either memorize the button layout or have it display on-screen instead. [editline]7th January 2011[/editline] Forgot to mention, the capacitive touchscreen will also bump up the price, can't imagine this being cheap which is necessary if they want to sell.

Why exactly is it called the "Switchblade"? That doesn't make me want to get it any more than if it were called the Razer "Gaming Laptop of Awesome".
Why exactly is it called the "Switchblade"? The switchblade thing is because of the "switchable" keyboard.
Well the Bulldozer still isn't released. And it will probably too expensive.
I believe he talking about fusion

They should sell the keyboard as a wireless keypad for your pc with all the controls configurable. I would so buy one if it didnt cost $2000 (cough optimus maximus)
Imagine playing ArmA 2 on that keyboard.
I really love this laptop (never used it though) But they are really saying that this is a very good gaming PC. I would love to play games on it but no high-end, more the classic fun ones you can play all the time. It really looks like they are saying you can play Modern Warfare 2 or Crysis on this thing
But the question is, how many people look at the keys while playing games? Do you look at your controller when playing a console? The answer to that would be the same as if this is useful to you or not.
I think i am going to buy it, the only thing that is holding me back is the price. I hope we will get to know the price soon
