Did they really write GLHF? I am disappoint
It's razer remember, they're 1337 and appeal to the gaming prof3ss1onal5.
That viral is so stupid, if anything Razer are going to kill PC gaming anytime soon. I'm really interested in the Razer Switchblade but;

I know I'm setting myself up for disappointment. I wouldn't even be surprised if it was using integrated graphics. At this point, besides from the SSD, it seems like my 5 year old laptop would actually outperform this for a fraction of the cost today.
-snip-
Now, how much will this be? If it's pretty cheap, this could be useful. I don't want to worry about dropping my $1000 dollar laptop/gaming machine on the ground in the airport, or even spend that much money on it.

It's really gonna depend on how much it will cost, if it's $250 - $350 It's excellent for the price, but judging by that SSD, I doubt it.

Did you just write I am disappoint? Well then you're a faggot..
Who cares.
There will almost definitely be different size options, probably starting at 16/32gb expandable,
if the price is right the product will do well (assuming it can actually play some newer games and
not just the warcraft games and quake 3).
Bet it's around $500-700 for the expensive models seeing as it's going to compete laptops most likely, just more handheld and gaming centered.
It's really gonna depend on how much it will cost, if it's $250 - $350 It's excellent for the price, but judging by that SSD, I doubt it.
they could score a deal with intel and get the SSDs for super cheap.
120GB SSD retails for an average of £150. I'm thinking of a price range of about £600 for the final product.

Today's the 26th, let's see what happens.

JUST IN, RAZOR HAS ANNOUNCED A 108 BUTTON MOUSE CODENAME "Razer snakelazer"
why waste your money on this when you could build a better rig for at least 1k
they could score a deal with intel and get the SSDs for super cheap.
That would be excellent.

You carry around your setup all over the city?
I want your muscles.

why would you want this when you could buy or build a better laptop, that is less gimmicky and a ton more powerful?
it's a dumb product, I feel embarrassed to be typing this out on a Razer keyboard

Because laptops are massive.
If this thing's literally a bit bigger than a DS, I'm going to give it a serious thought when my laptop dies if:
1) Battery life doesn't suck (I want at least 4-6 hours of Microsoft Word usage on a lower brightness setting)
2) HDD doesn't suck (I want at least 250GB, but if it's an SSD I can deal with 120GB)
3) Doesn't cost too much (if it's 700€, fuck that, I'd just get that Nokia netbook that they made, or get a 300-400€ netbook.)
4) Gets actually made.
If it's reasonably priced (£300 or less) I'll get one just for the hell of it, play some games while on the toilet
instead of browsing reddit on my phone.
Someone post as soon as they hear the "announcement" today.
2h more, well, 1h and 52 minutes.
So , for me the time would be 19.00, yaiii.
3 minutes left.
Can't wait
to be disappointed

Another product called the Blade is announced. Obviously doesn't seem related to the Switchblade but it pretty much confirms what that viral was.

Actually I have a feeling this might be the result of the Razer Switchblade concept and this is the final product, can't say so much for now though until more details are given
Also they scrapped the 'all keys are screens' and replaced with 'only keys that are hard to reach are screens'
The specs for it are a joke though.

Honestly most of the stuff is overkill and not even used for gaming
So its a MacBookPro but for gaming? Probably cost about the same too.
Apparently its going to cost $2,800 so yeah its a gaming version of the MBP.
Incredibly stupid, and stuff like this is doing more of the 'killing of PC gaming' because it makes console kiddies think that the only good gaymen pcs are $3000

Really the only thing that can be considered overkill is the RAM, and even then if you have a bunch of things running besides your game you can use it.
Edit:
Yeah way overpriced

oh btw: RAZER BLADE LOOOOOOLL

Well it markets itself as a gaming PC which has a Core i7 with 8GB of RAM. Unlike video and program creation, for gaming that's already overkill and adds to the price. I'd imagine they would released stripped down versions since $2,800 isn't exactly going for a bargain.
Updating thread. Ow god so much shit that needs to change
Meh. Prolly gonna get it. Looks nice.
Useless product, was actually looking forward to the switchblade but great now we have yet
another gaming laptop that will be incredibly overpriced, sigh.
