The Bios should not be a problem but if one is a newer revision you may be able to go to EVGA's website and update your other one.
Hi, welcome to life. There's this neat thing called sarcasm: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SarcasmYou should check that out, since you can't tell when it's being used.OP: Not sure what to tell you, it makes no sense to me to be honest. I say just wait till it's out of beta.
Well no kidding sherlock. Im pointing towards the fact the he sounds like a spoiled brat and is seriously pissed off by this minor issue that given the chart that was just posted is compleetly normal.
that's bad
I always get 50-60 FPS with a single 570, are you using the new AMD drivers?
Well, I just updated, and now I get 90fps and dips down to 70. Much better.
You seem to forget that Battlefield 3 is extremely intensive. DICE Even said that there was no PC that could max the game out, even judging from that chart you posted you ARE getting the performance from the hardware that you payed for.
Another bench :

Yeah that's not bad.

His frustration is that he's seen people with similar systems getting much higher numbers. BF3 is no doubt intensive, but it should be consistent, assuming those people were running indeed similar configs and same settings/res.
Got an AX850 W PSU from Corsair to power that shit up. 80+ gold. .
Damn son got the same PSU as you do it's the shit but I only got a singular GTX 570 and shit's as smooth as it could get with everything on ultra / as high as it can get.
But seriously, 70-80 fps is good. Also it's beta. And I suppose you got it all on ultra high too?
And for some reason i'm stuck with like... 70-80 FPS max.
Your monitor likely can't display more than 60 frames per second without tearing anyway
In fact if you never drop below 60 you should enable vsync to limit it to that
Does tearing really bother people. I've done my best to make sure vsync is off in every single game i've played and I never ever notice it.
All Vsync does for me is add input lag.
Why are you bothered about 70-80fps
You can't even see the difference past 40 or so.
I would be dancing if I got that FPS at ultra.

He is playing it maxed at amazing fps too. I'm pretty sure they're saying it in a consumers point of view as most people have pre-built computers that don't have a decent graphics card.

I can notice the difference between 40-60. Haven't noticed anything above as i don't have a 120hz computer and i get really bad tearing.

I like games where you can use a maxfps command in the console. No tearing, no input lag.

So unbelievably wrong. Playing on a 120Hz monitor in TF2 then going to a 60Hz one is a very noticeable difference.
don't start the 'eye fps' again
you only see what your monitor is capable of putting out
end

Nope, screen tearing it the proof that it doesnt.
You can show 120 fps on a 60 hertz screen but it will get updated halfway trough drawing the picture.
And you can see the difference between a 800 herts flickering screen and a 600herts flickering screen, how this applies to games is a whole different story though.
It depends on what you are watching, the light condition, screen type, game type ect what fps is acceptable.
Normal tv is around 24-30 fps, just with alot of blur and extrapolated screens in between.

Dear God, what have you done...
What is wrong with your FPS? It's fine,
When i read 'hideous' frame rate i think of low 20's and under, not a smooth 70...
