If this user isn't a troll, and that's a big if, he is certainly a strong contender for the next years Darwin awards. Seriously what possesses people to do stupid shit like this.
Next time look around for special iphones. This new one is 100% water resistant and it only costs $10! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DUMMY-DISPLAY-PHONE-NON-WORKING-FAKE-FR-APPLE-iPHONE-3G_W0QQitemZ120482978590QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item1c0d585b1e#ht_2162wt_939
I thought the iPod felt the water inappropriatly. :(
"Bury it in a bowl of dry rice to get all the water out. " the perfect thing to do, worked for my old phone at least
Bury it in a bowl of dry rice to get all the water out.
This actually works. Except do it in a baggy, or an airtight container. And throw in one of those little bags that come in shoe boxes. It takes all the moisture out of the air.
Take it to the apple store, they can tell if it has actually been dropped in water or you are just trying to scam them out of another one. If it has been then they will replace it free of charge as far as I am aware.
Before you try to scam Apple they can tell, before you do it look inside the headphone jack there is a little white tab. If its pink taht is an indication of water damage and Apple will know if not, GO SCAM THEN.
Guys... some guy said that I had to dry it under 120 celcius... I did and now it won't start up! edit: I just dried it for 2 seconds and *CRACK*
That is NOT the right thing at all. [editline]12:56PM[/editline]
Next time look around for special iphones.
