Here's where I'm getting my info for 480 power draw. http://nl.hardware.info/reviews/1704/12/4-way-sli-geforce-gtx-480-test-stroomverbruik Even with a bit of overclocking, a lesser PSU will do fine. Both of those cases will fit all of your parts well, and both are very nice. In the end, its pretty much down to whether you want a full tower or a mid tower and the aesthetic that you like the most.
Alright. I think I'll keep the 750W then. I guess I'll cross the case road when I come to the conclusion on which one I like better.
Are you an idiot ? This PSU is overkill [editline]10:21PM[/editline] Very good choice, mate. Go for it
yeah good job making him get a lesser power supply to save a whopping $20, yeah lets just all buy power supplies that can only power our one computer and whenever we need to upgrade we'll just buy another high priced one, great idea [editline]05:45PM[/editline]
Alright. I think I'll keep the 750W then. I might still go with it I'm just reading up on the consumption rates and quality. It seems like a good brand and I'll probably end up getting it anyways.
enermax is the best brand for power supplies [editline]06:22PM[/editline] and it's not overkill, you won't have to buy a power supply for like 8 years or more
enermax is the best brand for power supplies [editline]06:22PM[/editline] and it's not overkill, you won't have to buy a power supply for like 8 years or more
True, as long as standards don't change and it holds that long. It's worthwhile.

Antec and Corsair are better choice for quality branchs anyway And your last argument is stupid. It's not a vacuum, god damn [editline]08:33AM[/editline] Dadillsta, don't listen to Odellus for this one.
Your only proper argument seems to be 'because he doesn't need it now he shouldn't get it' If he spends $20 more now he could save spending $100 in the future
Not only "because he doesn't it", but it's just a marketing way to cacth idiots and ignorants. It's not like computers in the future will be like vacuums or microwaves, in the terms of power consumption. Processors uses less and less power with multiples cores, but the main problem is just about graphic cards. Even my Q9550/GTX 460 1GB build use only ~300W (p.c. for the whole system) at maximum.
Ernermax is the most expensive not the best (maybe good, but it's Seasonic the best branch for PSUs). Antec and Corsair are better choice for quality branchs anyway
what the fuck are you on enermax is a great brand
Funfact: Enermax made the first retail PSU.
what the fuck are you on enermax is a great brand
Lol good to hear. Glad I finally have a final setup in place for once. I can't wait to get this thing built.

Don't make me do it again [editline]03:22PM[/editline]
Not only "because he doesn't it", but it's just a marketing way to cacth idiots and ignorants.
kill yourself
Ran out of arguments ? D'awww http://www.bit-tech.net/blog/2010/05/07/does-anyone-really-need-a-1kw-psu/ [editline]10:55PM[/editline] At least you got the idea why 1KW PSU are useless nowadays (and even in the future)

Let's make love then.
hurr durr ran out of arguments
GG guys. So is there a distinct advantage to the thermal paste over Artic Silver 5 and would I need to buy the tube anyways since it says it comes with some with the heatsink? I'll buy whichever one I just want to know what the advantages are. Probably like 1-2 Celsius right?
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/11398/thr-80/Tuniq_TX-4_High_Performance_Thermal_Grease_-_30g.html best thermal paste in the world right now
That build isn't even going to get close to drawing 600w under load. The OP could easily go with a lesser PSU(I'd personally go with a 650HX or something to that effect) with no issues.
However if they decide to get dual 480gtx later on, they won't need to upgrade the psu. I was just thinking for more down the road on that one.
However if they decide to get dual 480gtx later on, they won't need to upgrade the psu. I was just thinking for more down the road on that one.
By the time anyone feels the need to SLI a 480, newer, better cards will have been out for quite awhile.
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/11398/thr-80/Tuniq_TX-4_High_Performance_Thermal_Grease_-_30g.html best thermal paste in the world right now
That or the Artic Silver 5 [editline]08:18AM[/editline] But I think Tuniq is pretty good as new thermal paste, while Artic is a bit old now.
That or the Artic Silver 5 [editline]08:18AM[/editline] But I think Tuniq is pretty good as new thermal paste, while Artic is a bit old now.
I think Artic blows. I had it and hated it. I bought some MX-2 and I think that is one of the best out there, ahead of AS5.
as5 isnt even comparable to tx4
as5 isnt even comparable to tx4
Yeah, you listed TX-3 but I think I'm going to spend the extra and get the TX-4.
Yeah, you listed TX-3 but I think I'm going to spend the extra and get the TX-4.
huh? I linked to TX-4

You linked to TX-3 now I see you linked TX-4 on the other website.
yeah I forgot about FrozenCPU
Yeah, thanks for the all the help.
Funfact: Enermax also makes the best retail PSUs.
I know this is probably a dumb question but do they have really good support? Oh and btw, that PSU is out of stock and "deactivated" so I don't know if it will be back in stock. Sadly I was supposed to be able to order my shit today but something got fucked up along the way and I wont have my check until next Friday. So I need to pick a new one or wait til then I guess.
