It seems a little expensive for what it is. I'm cutting close on a $1500-1600 budget. The Enermax one is $150 at Amazon but I don't really like ordering parts from different places, seems like a dumb idea.
well you said $1700 in the OP, if you can get the Enermax at Amazon then do it [editline]03:34PM[/editline] the Corsair PSU costs so much because of the huge amount of shit that comes with it, the fact that it's 80 PLUS Gold certified as well as modular [editline]03:35PM[/editline] and the 7 year warranty

yeah it's the same one
I'm ordering as soon as my deposit goes into my checking account tonight or in the morning. Anywhere to get Tuniq TX-4 for around $15 w/shipping like on Newegg? Or should I just find a different thermal compound?
Gtx 460 sli
Gtx 460 sli
Wut
Wut
Ignore him Artic 5 thermic is an good alternative, but you really should take Tuniq-TX 4
No joke. And I do want TX-4. For about the same price as Newegg. I guess I'll try the Frozen CPU one.
Alright, Frozen CPU charges like $6 for shipping so it ends up being like $20 for Thermal Paste that costs $12-15. Any other places to order? Is jab-tech.com reliable and fast?
nonono frozen cpu is always overpriced, what kind do you want
Tuniq TX-4
Ok so TX-4 is deactivated on Newegg now, great. I just ordered it from Platinum Micro Inc, same seller that was on Amazon, and was cheaper than their Amazon store, hopefully they aren't shit.
-snip- nevermind
So everything is coming in today except the TX-4, should I build and use TX-3 and just replace it when the TX-4 comes in or just wait to build it? Is it a pain in the ass to take aftermarket heatsinks with a back mount off?
Noctua NH-U12P SE2 as cooler!
Yeah woo! It's already ordered, and delivery from UPS is today, why are you posting this?
Some cases have a hole in the back of the case so you can mount the backplate without dismounting the motherboard
The HAF 932 has that correct?
Yes.
So it shouldn't be hard to pop the heatsink off, use some alcohol and redo the paste with the better type?
I would guess you don't even need to take the back panel off, but I might be wrong
Alright I'll do the build today then and just fix it up when the new paste comes in, thanks.
I don't know I don't have one, you'll be able to see when you get it
What would make a PC not power on at all? The mobo light is on but nothing gets power. I have the 24 and 8 pin connected.
what about your gfx card
Well I disconnected it to test that. Nothing at all is powering up. It powers up for maybe a millisecond then stops. It's almost like maybe it's shorting?
your psu is working correct? you'll know if you see the fan spin for a second
It spins for the same amount of time. About half a second if that.
