what the fuck kind of adapter pulls 6 channels out of two channels like that
[editline]10:25PM[/editline]
then again you can also use 3.5mm for video input/output so hey
It has the three 3.5mm jack inputs, which then come out as a red/white plug, I'm sure it will do fine for the time being untill I figure out how to do it properly.

Also I read somewhere that the audio out does support surround sound, but you have to get a cable/adapter for it, I'll try and dig up the article on it and get more info for it.

I had all my settings to medium or so, and got 25-30FPS. Now I set it to all low and made sure APEXPhys was off. Now I'm getting 70-80FPS. Seems AntiAliasing is being a bitch for me in this game...
apex 1/3rds performance even for me and i have two 460s
I have the last gen mac mini, and Im satisfied with it. It runs TF2 well, but only on certian servers.
But yeah man, if you can afford it do it.
So I am thinking of changing my 2nd PC to a mac for a while, and the mac mini seems to suit what I need it for, I just want to know some things about it before I buy it:
Can I plug my 5:1 Surround sound speakers into it?
Will I be able to run games such as World of Warcraft/Team Fortress 2 @ 1366 x 768 or higher?
Would 3DS Max/AutoCad be able to run on it without lag?
Im thinking of getting the Core 2 Duo 2.4Ghz 4GB Nvidia 320M Version, and have it hooked up to either a 32"/37" TV
The Mac Mini is definitely a viable way of getting into OS X and it makes a nice office/media/development machine, especially with its incredibly low power consumption.
It'll output surround sound over HDMI or the optical jack but doesn't include 5.1 analog output, so you'll have to get a receiver/decoder if you've got basic PC speakers.
Source engine games should run fine and it will do Photoshop/CAD pretty well, especially since AutoCAD recently returned to the mac.
One thing you might want to do is consider upgrading to 4GB of RAM if you want to do much editing/multitasking. Two gigs isn't really enough and OS X definitely performs a lot better with four. Not to mention the mac mini is basically a laptop, so swapping files in and out of memory is slow due to its 5400RPM hard drive.
