Besides, for your result the test server is OVH's network.

The technician who installed BT infinity said I was losing 20Mbps between the house and the fiber box at the top of the road... damn shitty copper cables

That may just be his way of trying to get you to pay extra to get fiber to the home. Though if you did you would definitely get a speed boost. In fact your speeds are really low for fiber.
I'm on ADSL2+ and I'm getting much faster speeds on my download stream than you. Also your ping is a tad high for fiber especially at such a short distance.

It's mostly the same for any other speed test at the north of france,
I didn't realise Google done servers of the sort?

BT infinity uses a system with fiber to a box at the top of the road, and the rest is done by existing copper.
You don't actually have an option to buy fiber straight to the house, plus my road is "private" so they wont do it.

I'm willing to bet that if you went to a different ISP you would get way faster speeds. I went from telstra to amnet. Got quite the speed increase.
FINALLY had my new internet installed

I'm on an uncontended line as well.

ATT U-Verse sucks. I miss Comcast, but my parents didn't want to pay the extra $30 a month. Now stuff doesn't even load half the time..
Oh, it finally worked...

My shitty ADSL speeds cause of the distance from my exchange
Fibre due in March 2013 of 70mb, cause my distance from the cabinet is fuck all.
Got my Galaxy S4 on Three coming on Friday with Unlimited Tethering.
Currently can get 1.2mb/s max out of my Three MiFi
And the S4 has DC-HSDPA so hypothetically I could double the mifi speeds.
Either way, I'm going to be tethering the shit out of it. Sad times when 3G is faster than my ADSL
(MiFi result below)

Will repost with S4 speeds when I get it on Friday

This hopefully won't be the case in a year as my I found out today my area is having fibre put in. I can't wait.

We use to pay $75 for slower speeds than that.

Something cool though - NBN/Fibre is coming to my area around Mid 2014, so here I come super fast speeds ranging from 12/1 -> 1000/400 (possibly might not be in my area)

This is my speeds at work, I was actually pleasantly surprised.
