Trying to make my own Rainmeter theme, just wanted to show how it's going.

I've been messing around with my school laptop.
That's a little obnoxious, don't you think? How long are you going to be looking at that anyway?

Rainmeter is the only code I currently have most experience with and sometimes I may get really bored and make a new useless addition to my desktop.

it's the only time I've ever seen a shitload of Rainmeter and not wanted to strangle people. Nice.

Yay for bland, tasteless usability!

To be fair, on mouseover the start cube glows red, yellow, and green on the 3 different faces.

Just a warning, you may be a sociopath.

I like the style of the icons a lot, but the clock and cube don't match it. You should fix that with a flat black rainmeter clock in the middle and maybe a new black start orb.

Could you share as to how you did this?

Thanks for the feedback. I fiddled with the clock values a bit and came up with this:

I'd like to keep the start orb as a cube, but I'm not sure how to fit it in with the style I have now. Maybe a monochrome wireframe? Idk.

I think the clock is still wrong. I think the circular gradient is the problem with it, it makes it appear 3D while the icons are flat. Maybe get rid of it (assuming it isn't part of the background) and replace it with a thicker and simpler one?
As for the cube, I'd say a monochrome one would work, but you don't need to please us. You have a cube style going on now, and I don't want to stifle that to comply with an impersonal design standard.

I wouldn't put it past me
I think I'm liking this quite a bit.

I was never too fond of the cube to be honest, and I'm not sure what I think about this one. Can anyone recommend a good start orb style? I've found a few pre-made ones I like, but I try to do everything myself so it feels more like it's my computer.

Watch as I hijack this thread.
don't use an analog clock.
No. I prefer analog clocks. they're simpler and they're nicer to look at.

It keeps getting better. Only thing I could suggest is remove the ring from the clock and the start orb
Hmm, I like that idea. I'll mess with it a bit more and see how I like it. Thanks to everyone here who helped me realize my desktop. I really appreciate the advice.

Those of you who have been here a while: does it ever annoy you when people have 2 or 3 Rainmeter clocks accompanying the default clock?

one extra clock is okay imo, it just gives you an extra place to look to tell the time. but more than that is completely unnecessary.

Older pic, but basically looks exactly the same still.

I'm just going to impose my commentary on the image, for clarity's sake.
