In my opinion, the wallpaper looked bad and made the entire desktop look terrible. Although I didn't like the XP one earlier, so I'm not quite sure what the fundamental difference is.
this. agreed.

[t]http://i.imgur.com/G6ZPT.png[/t] 30 seconds in Photoshop.
Icons are from the kARÉ pack, shell theme is Suave 2.0, rainmeter theme is Elegance, folders I downloaded from some random site after google-imaging "dark folder icon" and the wallpaper I made myself. Also, does anyone know where to find a Windows 7 start orb that actually fits this icon pack? I could only find the Windows 98 one.

I love using coverflow with the indie music bundle. The coverart is so pretty.
why are you using iTunes
Because I like it. I don't want to spend time learning another program. Besides it does what I want and I don't know of anything else I would need.
Because I like it. I don't want to spend time learning another program. Besides it does what I want and I don't know of anything else I would need.
Generally, it's the most problematic and slow program ever on Windows, but if you aren't having any issues, then it doesn't bother me. If you ever do decide to switch, go for Winamp or foobar, just because they're so much smaller and quicker. Also, prettier. Biggest problem with Winamp is that there are about 2 themes that don't look like ass.
i really like zune software, it uses a good amount of resources but (in my opinion) extremely easy to navigate and damn good to look at and if you wait long enough and you're playing a somewhat well known artist, pictures of the artist will go on a slideshow and mood lighting and all that will happen, like this. it's really cool to look at

Although I'm actually having problems with Zune since a while. Now Playing seems to freeze everytime I do something. But I'm the only one in the entire universe with that problem, it seems. But I'm not going to switch over to something else. I've used Windows Media Player, Winamp, foobar, Spotify and even Songbird.. All of them have good points and bad points, none are my favorite. I actually have been planning to make my own media player but I'm just too goddamned lazy to get starting with it. If only I had a starting point, I could get to work and do awesome stuff with it. Also, desktop. I wish Steam would make better quality screenshots. [t]http://s.horsedrowner.net/NANO/Desktop/201206020839117372-1920x1080.png[/t]

Viewing this thread always makes me feel like I should try and make my desktop look better. Mine has been this for the past 5 months.
If it works, it works. Although I'm not sure if I get the Ubuntu start button.
I was looking around for themes and found an osx one. I decided to add a dock and put the start bar on top as well to get the full effect. It's probably the cleanest theme that I've had.

[t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/newdeskop.png[/t] Through much therapy I can now tolerate a certain amount of icons on my desktop, as long as they are in the right order.
Tell me about right order
Tell me about left order

Nah I don't like SAMP that much, besides I admin on the most popular MTA server. For the sake of ontopicness where do you guys get backgrounds from? I've had no luck with DA, atm I just use Google and /wg/ and was wondering if there were better places :o
