Normally it stays organized, but because my integrated graphics is equivalent to a Radeon 3200, some of the games that won't run in windowed mode resize my resolution, and therefore jumble up my icons.

Make 2 folders on your desktop "Apps" and "Games".

It may take a little while for you to open the folder and start the game. But I'm fairly sure it's going to take you a whole lot longer to find them on your desktop.

Besides folders organize alphabetically by default, all your things will be much easier to find.
