Whoa, I didn't know there was a tool to change the navigation buttons. I found some soft7 buttons that I've never been able to use until now. Thanks!
Just finished an Arch install. I'm quite proud.

Just out of curiosity, are you on a AMD CPU? Because when I try and install Arch it just won't have it. I'm actually on crunchbang at the moment.
Here (Haven't done much yet):

I remember this thread being more alive :l
I know i should post this in the general linux chat, but i think here it's a little bit better.
I want my ->linux<- desktop to be eye-candy, but without using compiz or too much resources, because, y'know, wine games happen.
Any tips?

Last time i tried that i got nowere and my session drop list with 23 entries. To have that i would have to go down a lot of tutorials, as i am pretty noobish on linux. Thanks for the help, but i'd better search for myself if that's the only way.

Nope, I'm on an Intel Atom. Try posting your issues and specs in the Linux chat thread if you haven't already.

When I say I can't install it, I mean I can't get past booting the CD. It's fucking annoying.

I have the same problems with any Linux distribution on my AMD APU. Takes about 5 million hours just to get the display working, and then I have terrible graphics performance after doing so.
Won't be installing Linux again until the developers can show some love for AMD.

Show some love for AMD? More like AMD needs to show some love for Linux. Their drivers aren't exactly top-notch quality.
A friend of mine has got a AMD CPU, i really don't remember which, but it was somewhat old, and could run puppy linux, ubuntu, and mint perfectly. Maybe it's only in the new CPUs.

I don't think that there is much of a problem with AMD CPUs, but there is a problem with a lot of the graphics cards and APUs.

Will not send original pic out. Friend who made it asked for me not to share it. I will say that it was SFM.
