It looks for the function in memory and patches it there so you don't need to patch system files. It runs as a service. If any of the three or four dlls get updated with newer versions it'll still work and you won't have to wait for an update to a hard patch.

That patcher works best for me, though. I've used UxStyle before on multiple PCs but it would break when I would try to apply a new theme. I'd have to uninstall and reinstall UxStyle before I can apply new themes.
I can't find how to make custom themes anywhere on the net - i'm not talking about the regular change-your-window-border-color-and-apply-a-wallpaper-shit, i'm talking about actually changing the look of the window borders and anything
I can only find those stupid 49$ theme creator programs - do you have to use one of those? It really looks like you can't create those themes by hand (those msstyle files or whatever all seem to be binary gibberish... they're not even zip files or anything?)
