[QUOTE=nos217;38326200]Profont, size 12.

I'm still a noob with awesome, but how do you get those fancy curvy lines on your promt? Profont is ascii, and when I tried copy/pasting that into my console config it spat out the utf-8 (or unicode, idk) codes for the characters instead of the fancy lines.
This is a stretch but does anyone remember the name of that Windows 7 theme that came with two wallpapers and was just a minimal black taskbar and it made the X's on the windows into blue dots?
nvm found it, Celestica

A popular linux distro you don't know about.

Recently installed windows on a brand new SSD, 550/510 MB/s read/write!
Made the wallpaper today.

It's archlinux with awesome window manager. Super cool, super configurable, takes a super amount of time to mod it to your liking, but is super rewarding to do.

Weird, I don't have any problem printing those characters with Profont. There's a good chance you're using an ascii terminal emulator. Try urxvt. (rxvt-unicode)

If you're on Windows and you want an environment that is just as customizable, give Litestep or Blackbox a try.
BB (and it's variants, i.e. BBLean, BB4win, ...) is much easier for anyone starting out in shell modification for Windows. However, if you want to go full nerdcore, LS has many more options but can be quite trouble some to get working. However, it is perfectly stable on XP to W7. 'just different methods of installation.
Some of my examples using Litestep with True Transparency.

What's that Foobar skin pally?
Yet to buy Windows 8, so I'm still running the developer preview. 4 monitors, the middle right is the main desktop. The wallpapers change from time to time.

(Using iTunes because my favorite radio podcast is easily and readily available on it. If anyone has a proper good RSS reader, feel free to suggest :v: )
Awww, you should have put the 3d monitor before the second one, that way the desktops would have gotten progressively smaller.
Here is mine, Clean and simple
Sorry its not a thumbnail. I don't know how do that

I used to use docks but now I just WinKey and type as well as pin stuff to the Superbar. Plus docks were always glitchy for me - dunno why.

Might I suggest Launchy? It's pretty much the Windows search tool but much more efficient and
extensive. It caches a lot of files it searches so it's very fast.
I cannot live without it.
I don't use shortcuts nor any other app launcher besides this. It works for everything.
If you're good with graphs and theming, you can customize the design too -- as demonstrated by
the various themes in my previous post (or just browse through some themes on dA).

Running windows 8, I love it. But I installed a start button because the bottom left felt empty.
Main PC, gaming one maybe some other time
