Well, with XP it takes up a lot less space, and games like ArmA II are really dependent on high amounts of free space. Plus I don't really have the money to be buying Windows 7.
There's no real reason not to get W7 x64 given today's technology. Even if you haven't hit 32 bit's memory limit, you probably will if you upgrade your RAM, and while 7 isn't the godsend people call it when comparing it to vista, it's still better. Go for it.

ArmA II's performance has nothing to do with how much free space you have
Windows 7 64-bit is a clear winner. There's nothing left to discuss.
64 bit only enables 4+ GB RAM. Seriously, it's only good if yo. Have LOTS of RAM.
