It's frames per second, but the FPS on the server is different from the FPS on clients.. It's not rendering frames, rather physics and logic frames. The ticks just determine how often it takes a snapshot/sends the data to the client.
In that case, 1000 is STILL overkill.
I just added the new Brolosophy section to the website so it's a little more content filled. :buddy:
You might want to change it to say that slots are 30 cents each, rather than the current "Hey, I cost nothing!".
I figured out how to make the TeamSpeak 3 pages a bit more understandable.. I changed the templates in the ordering system so now they're custom for TS3 servers. Much better. I've also lowered the prices to $0.28/slot monthly, $0.26/slot quarterly, and $0.24/slot semi-annually. :buddy:
So, ordered my second TS (for my brother.) server today because the first one runs awesomly. Also the support is great. I can really recommend these guys. :buddy:

VERY awesome! I will use this once I actually make a website. :v: I've made one before...but it sucked.
Took one of those ts3 servers, what a steal! Seriously what a deal.
Took one of those ts3 servers, what a steal! Seriously what a deal.
I noticed. :buddy: I updated the client area a bit to be more styled like the rest of the site. Yaaay. :neckbeard:
In that case, 1000 is STILL overkill.
Idk. I feel like I can tell the registry differency when playing on a 250fps server and a 1000fps server. I guess I'm a sucker if its a hoax.
Idk. I feel like I can tell the registry differency when playing on a 250fps server and a 1000fps server. I guess I'm a sucker if its a hoax.
Oh you mean HIT registry, we were all wondering what the fuck you were talking about. :v:
I don't like how you have to call our homes to verify it is us. That is just stupid. I would of bought from you but then calling my house in a military base in Korea isn't so pleasant. And the paypal account is tided to the work phone which is a government phone. But all in all, you still have great prices. I wish I could buy from you.
That was when we first implemented the system, we forgot to disable that. It was saying you were a fraudulent order because of the difference in address and IP. I tried to get back to you to tell you we were going to approve the order but we couldn't reach you. The only reason it wanted to call you was because it marked you as fraud.
Like I said bro, I got your back. Shouldn't be long until it's set up now. Gonna be so clutch. [editline]04:20AM[/editline] Oh wait it was set up already, just needed to check my mail.
I just processed your domain registration as well. :buddy:
In that case, 1000 is STILL overkill.
You have clearly never played in one or at a level where it would matter so who are you to judge :p I'm new to web design within the past week so I can't judge how long this would take but a mobile version (or just nonflash option) of the site would be awesome!

It works on the iPhone, I know that much.
Well regardless it's pretty funky on my moto droid, can't stalk to homepage or check affiliate updates.
Just go directly to http://www.brohoster.com/brozone?
Don't know why that didn't occur to me, thanks!
We've just ordered the Kayako LiveResponse livechat system so we can provide better live support to our clients. :buddy:
How can you feel the difference if your PC is running at 300 FPS (source engine default max?)
This has nothing to do with the client, its what the server is running at.
Just got half a year of hosting for 10 dollars I am amazed.
Just got half a year of hosting for 10 dollars I am amazed.
You silly non-thieving thief that takes advantage of steals. :buddy:

I think what helps hit registry more is having a good connection to a server which has a low latency/doesn't have a fluctuating ping, for you, and doesn't have overloaded CPUs. Generally the '1000FPS!!!!!' servers are usually on pretty beefy servers, in a decent datacenter somewhere.

Nobody should e able to tell the difference between 250 and 1000 tick. A player hitbox won't move more than a millimeter in the 250 ticks a second.
I have used quite a few servers in my day, hosts that boast high FPS usually have good servers at the end of the day. But please be quiet this isn't a thread about what server FPS does :kamina:
I'm thinking about hosting a forums for the game Men of war. I've got a clan and I know maybe fp might use it. Don't know how or if I should do it.

A player hitbox won't move more than a millimeter in the 250 ticks a second.
They're not trying to attract people to the server because that type of server would be sold as 11 slots, 1 for stv, and then a default of maybe 20-25 stv slots. They're private practice/scrim/match servers for competitive play; many of the head providers will not sell servers for public use. People don't pay $125 a month for cs servers because it's all in their head...you've never experienced it first hand and have probably not been at a level where you would be able to enjoy it so I'm not really sure why you're so adamant that it's a placebo effect. Most providers will set up times where you can demo the servers if you really think it's bullshit. I definitely would've agreed with you before I first tried one and after that I never thought twice about paying up for a quality server. Sorry for the thread jack :z
