• Wireless adapter gone on HP probook 6450b

(just in case I'm confused with words and terms - with adapter, I mean an entry under "network connections". Such as local connection, bluetooth, wireless) Long explanation: At the beginning of the year I got a HP 6450b from my school for use with studying. Since then I've removed windows and tried linux, which worked out nicely. After returning to windows, I can't find any wireless adapter. When under linux this worked nicely. Just after the install I found no adapters but the bluetooth one. To even get the local one I had to transfer some drivers from a usb stick. I've got internet when using a cable, but still no wireless at all. Short explanation: After fresh windows 7 install there were no network adapters present, but the bluetooth one. After installing a driver the local area connection adapter showed up, but still no wireless. Here's what I see when opening the driver manager: I've wondered a bit about the 3 unkown entires, especially the network controller. I've not managed to find out what it is, or how to fix it. When right clicking them and looking at the properties, it seems like windows doesn't even have any name of what it is. --- edit: I managed to figure it out. After browsing through the network controller, I found some string of letters and numbers which turned out to be related to broadcom. After installing those drivers it worked.
