no they'll never stop
they won't, they'll just jump ship as soon as nVidia start to creep back up
If it's another $500+ Nvidia card, I am not buying. I want sub $300 high performance cards.
Come over to England, $500 card are £500 here :/
Come over to England, $500 card are £500 here :/
That gotta suck.
Come over to England, $500 card are £500 here :/
Come to Australia, £500 cards are $1000. Aka 8800 Ultra.
I was thinking of buying a 5870 for an upgrade, but this is tempting.
I only buy nVidia, but that's because i've got bad luck with ati: 6 Ati cards in 1 year and 1 nV card in 5 years?
I only buy nVidia, but that's because i've got bad luck with ati: 6 Ati cards in 1 year and 1 nV card in 5 years?
Why would you need 6 cards in one year? O_O
Still want to know the specs of the GTX 395. Hopefully, it'll be revealed soon. [editline]06:26AM[/editline] Inb4 woodscrew photoshops of that picture in the link...
why post the specs? most people already know, and your post has nothing to do with the topic
Rather have some kind of ATI X2.
I'm not gonna buy an almost equal graphics card to the one I have, when I can most likely get a better one. Of course there's no proof of that yet, but I think they'll be more powerful.
-snip-
why post the specs? most people already know, and your post has nothing to do with the topic
Why not post the specs? we're talking about the new nvidia cards, why not post specs for them? I find your post dumb.
why post the specs? most people already know, and your post has nothing to do with the topic
Its almost as if he helped lazy people who don't want to look at the site.
That's exactly what i did. It makes the thread more interesting, having a relevant picture at the top.
That's exactly what i did. It makes the thread more interesting, having a relevant picture at the top.
Tell me you didn't rate me dumb for posting that, because it was siding with you x.x Anyways, if Nvidia has a better price/performance card I'll go back to them. Rather than being one of those people who are, "I'm buying ATI/Nvidia because they are beastly over Nvidia/ATI," then switching when the other makes a better card.

I try not to be a ATi fanboy but i just can't afford most newer nVidia cards.

I hope those screws aren't made of solid gold.
Well, I'm not so sure about that... But I think nVidia and ATI is sort of equal. ATI to what I know is often cheaper than nVidia but nVidia has stronger cards. But ironically ATI will respond to nVidias 300 series with something else. The bad part about nVidia is that most of their later cards still don't support DX11 (Does the 300 series support it?). And if nVidia keeps on doing their CUDA thing they will probably get "raped". Since it's a really stupid idea to dev something like that. Almost no games will use it, due to they want to support everything instead of just certain people. OpenCL is probably the future, well to my knownledge it sounds that will be better than CUDA, and support more. But I currently own a nVidia 8800GTS (640 MB). And I like it, as it's still keeping up in modern games. It's just my CPU that is bottle-necking my entire computer.
Well uhh, Nvidia did once say that they've concidered stopping completely with making gamer graphic cards, and swapping over to making entirely CUDA servers and such. It's ages ago though, back when the GTX200 series were born, and I think they dropped the idea.

I want benchmarks!
Good. Ati fanboys will finally shut up about Ati's new cards beating Nvidia's old cards.
yes but now they will go on about how atis old cards are beating nvidias new cards
Tell me you didn't rate me dumb for posting that, because it was siding with you x.x.
Of course i didn't. Here, have an agree.
Sweet I can't wait! I just hope it won't be longer/thicker than the 200 series...

[editline]06:21PM[/editline]
Sweet I can't wait! I just hope it won't be longer/thicker than the 200 series...
"But unlike the Twitter post that was cut by the 140 character limitation, the GeForce GF100 boards aren't longer or shorter than their predecessor - according to nVidia, the upcoming GeForce GTX 300-series boards are identical length as their previous flagship, GeForce GTX 280 at 10.5 inch [26.7cm]."
Thank god, I could barely fit my 260 into my case, and it takes up all the space for other things such as a sound card I was planning to get.
I try not to be a ATi fanboy but i just can't afford most newer nVidia cards.
This, and the fact that ATI is great at price:performance.
Not an nvidia thread until this link http://www.semiaccurate.com/2009/12/10/fermi-a3-silicon-oven/
Not an nvidia thread until this link http://www.semiaccurate.com/2009/12/10/fermi-a3-silicon-oven/
But couldn't that work with any other piece of hardware (motherboards?) just as well? Wait that's a different oven article. Man I deserve a few boxes for not looking at the article first.
Thank god, I could barely fit my 260 into my case, and it takes up all the space for other things such as a sound card I was planning to get.
Well you must have a tiny case.
