This, and the fact that ATI is great at price:performance.
which is the same thing with being able to afford ATI, is it not?
which is the same thing with being able to afford ATI, is it not?
No.
yes it is.
[editline]10:35AM[/editline]
really if you choose to go with ATI because of how much it costs in relation to performance, it's because you can afford ATI.
if you deny that you're retarded and probably need to go back to basic arithmetic
yes it is.

There are low end nvidia cards also, are they are good buy? No, because they do not have very good price:performance. But you can still afford a nvidia card.
Well you must have a tiny case.
It's not tiny, and yet it's not huge

What case is it.
If only I could find a picture, give me a moment
[editline]12:14PM[/editline]
Can't find it, and I don't have any batteries for MY camera. I'll try and get some soon
Everytime nVidia releases something new I feel happy about myself for buying ATI instead. I feel like hugging my 4870 all the time.
Still waiting for the benchmarks and prices, those will mark my conclusions.
But I think I'll skip this generation of GPU's too, my 9800gtx can hold up till late 2010 with the games I play (except Dirt 2), actually even further. But I'd love to have a newer card anyway.
Is there anything about the shader processors in numbers? I didn't find it in the chart. That's usually where Nvidia has fewer stronger ones and ATI/AMD has many weaker ones, so if Nvidias numbers had grown it could give SOME feeling of the performance.

Sticky GPUs won't do you any good, weirdo.
These are going to be expensive as hell.
I seriously want Nvidia to recover from their half a year hibernation and start a price war so they can still make the joy of alot of gamer!
I hope those screws aren't made of solid gold.
They are brass man.
cool specs but benches are what determine if I buy it or not
Good. Ati fanboys will finally shut up about Ati's new cards beating Nvidia's old cards.
That's simply because they ARE, as they should be.

hurr I can't detect any fanfaggotry in this post at all

I like you.

You're all fucking wrong regardless of the conclusion, because your motives are loyalty to a company regardless of the quality of its products. Nvidia has made good products and ATi has made good products. The end.
The hardware statistics themselves say that in terms of raw processing power, the 380 is about 1000 gigaflops less powerful than the 5870, but it's not the hardware statistics that tell things, it's the benchmarks, and we haven't seen any of that, so EVERYTHING insofar is ridiculous banter.
For my leaning opinion, I'd take a guess that the new nvidia cards are going to be bad. No offense to the company, but they're just going under. I can really go either way usually, but it really seems like nvidia got the short end of the stick this time.
The 1st paragraph I agree then the second paragraph I disagree.
Good post none the less.

hurr ATi are on top once again sides will never swap again, anything nVidia comes up with must be bad because it's not ATi hurr
post reeks of fanfaggotry

What are you talking about? From the specs, the GTX 380 looks a lot more powerful than the 5870.

Of course it isn't I am proving you wrong. :downs:
And you completely ruined your entire argument with those last few sentences.
...I'm not saying that nvidia wouldn't bounce back if they could. I'm saying they just can't.
I'm saying that financially, nvidia is going under. Like BANKRUPT under. They only have 1.7% of the marketshare and FALLING.
because it's not like they're doing excellently with Ion and Tegra :downs:

At least try to hide your trolling a little bit better.
The Ion and the Tegra weren't in the last report I read, so I couldn't have known.
But that doesn't change the fact that, according to those specifications, in terms of raw processing power the 380 is only a little over HALF as powerful as a 5870 is for gaming applications.
For other applications like home cinema and farm rendering, it fucking rapes the 5870 like 2.5x, but for actual gaming application it's quite lacking.
However, its texture fillrate is quite good, which means that in 10 years when that is actually fully used, it might run current games at a staggering 11 fps rather than a 5870's 10.
But like I've said repeatedly. Hardware details don't make or break cards, benchmarks do, so every single post in this thread is baseless because nothing has been proven either way.
Like the 2900. It looked alright on paper, but in terms of power consumption to performance, it was dick. Maybe this will magically work the other way around
Yeah NVIDIA is financially ruined.
Since when does nvidia only have 1,7% of the market? last time I looked at that, it was like 50%?
