I've had one for a long time and nothing negative has happened.
You're just digging a deeper hole for yourself.
yeah, you may be right. But you're still wrong in all your other posts in this thread.
I'm wrong in all my other posts? Saying 'you're wrong' with no explanation gives your post no credibility.
From what I've read the OCZ Fatility is not very good, that most non-newegg reviewers actually have issues.
OCZ is a great, IF YOU WANT A CHEAP PSU. You get what you pay for! And that particular 'Fatal1ty' PSU is not one of OCZ's better units.
It doesn't have to be super expensive to be functional.
[editline]08:47PM[/editline]
OCZ is fine, it's just their Fatal1ty model is bad.
Corsair is not super expensive, OCZ is just super cheap. And you do get more for more money, providing you pay for the right thing.
and the Newegg reviews.. User reviews are worthless. The overall score is contaminated with idiotic ratings.
Corsair is not super expensive, OCZ is just super cheap.
so does this mean the majority of PSUs are a great deal then? because most PSUs are cheaper than corsair.
cheap > logisys, other crap that usually comes with cheapo cases
Have you ever used an OCZ psu?
I've used a Rosswell.
No my computer did not explode.
I'm not talking to you.
I have not, as said earlier this is my first full custom build. When I was under 18, parents always made me go dell, HP, gateway.
No, I'm not talking to you either. :v:

The question was directed at ferrus.

No, I haven't. What I know about them is from reviews, the knowledge that their OEM is often not very good, and their reputation amongst PC builders (I use other PC building forums). I've said this many times before, but I'll say it again anyway: OCZ units are not crap, some are even good, it's just that they're not the best choice if you're after a very reliable, top quality unit. What a lot of people don't realise is that a PSU is the piece of hardware (second maybe to the case) that you'll keep the longest, and which the stability of is essential in order to avoid damage to other components.

Just saw this, will 550 run what I will be getting?
Yes, most builds nowa days can run off 550 Watts being that PC parts and becoming less power hungry.
And unless any of you can tell me WHY OCZ is a untrustworthy brand, you should shut the fuck up, aight?
I did say why.
I did say why.
so far the only reason I've seen from you is "it's not as good as corsair" which is true but corsair costs much more.

All I'm seeing is "Corsair is better" wrapped in a haze of words.
You mean you can't read? Rated bad reading.
Is it customary to dumb-rate somebody on this forum if you can't be bothered to read what they have written in plain English?
And 'FunnyGamer' - please would you just leave this forum? I've seen you contribute nothing but useless, argumentative comments and uninformed recommendations. I'm sure others that have seen his posts will agree.
The only thing I'm finding is that the Fatality OCZ is bad, not the brand itself. Was out on vacation with my IRL partner, and we don't have a laptop, so couldn't use a hotel room to reply.
It doesen't suprise me that the fatality version is shit, i've had bad luck with Fatality branded bullshit. The Rails are known to be unreliable with this certain model.
Also, enough of the bickering between ferrus and Funny, I've gotten my answers, and I'm doing what I have decided. Going Corsair 550 watt.
