God that's fugly, and what happens if you have more than like 3 tabs?

They become smaller :downs:
They become smaller :downs:
Would be better if the tab bar was below, since most people always have more than 3 tabs open, going to be a pain not seeing the names and having to guess.
Doesn't look too shabby, might check out...
I like how people rate me dumb, just because its IE. Shows how much of you are on the bandwagon. :bandwagon:
I'm very excited that MS is actually putting effort into IE. They have a lot of cool new integrated features and I think if it beat chrome by even a fraction of a second, it might be a necessary browser.
OMG OMG OMG :flaccid:
:frog:
Noone use IE.
I hope my school will at least switch to this
I'm never switching to IE no matter how many lies Microsoft pushes out about it.
Then you're no better than the IE fanboys. I'd say worse, because fanboys usually have a reason for liking something.
Just keep in mind by disabling UAC you also disable most if not all of the critical safety features of Windows so don't do that.
Fixed.

Yeah, that's very bad design. Are you guys sure the tab bar doesn't expand down under the address bar when there's many tabs? That would totally make me ditch IE9 if I were a IE8 user.
I've had problems with it, since I installed it.
Sometimes it works great, and sometimes it likes to randomly be 8 hours to load a page it opened with no problems what so ever the moment before. I will not just throw it in the recycle bin just jet, as I'm sure this is just my computer being weird.. I really like the new design, actually better than I like Chrome's, but that's really not something you can judge a browser from. It feels fast, sometimes, at other times it's slow a heck.
I really actually like despite the problems I've had with it. But how is the security?
I wish I could disable the whole load the page before we show it to you thing. Ive noticed that it will load the page then show the page once its mostly loaded. It makes it feel faster when it shows the page while it loads.
It's terrible at page rendering.
It's terrible at page rendering.
I see your words but no proof.
Please tell me how or get out.
IE is not my favourite browser, but this one ain't terrible at nothing.
It has a few hicups, but it's still a beta, and I still think it's definately good.
They are heading for chrome ...
if it renders HTML faster than Firefox...
I don't remember what Chrome is like anymore.

the tabs just get smaller as more are opened

Tabs after url bar? Why
Because we need to see the website not the tabs or the url box so much.
I don't like squishy tabs, they could have just placed them under the url bar, no problem anymore.
Same thing happens with Chrome, if you're on Win7 you shouldn't care because you really should be using the taskbar previews which are infinitely much better.
And it's not hard to drag out the next tab to it's own window if you get too many.
I hope they do something with the massive empty void above the URL bar, it just looks shit at the moment. Other than that it's a major improvement over IE8 and, dare I say it, on par with other browsers?
Just keep in mind by disabling UAC you also disable most if not all of the critical safety features of IE, so don't do that.
Haha, that's it, I'm not using IE9.
Why not?
I hope they do something with the massive empty void above the URL bar.
It's okay in windowed mode, but maximized it is a bit silly. Though strangely they got rid of it in fullscreen.
Haha, that's it, I'm not using IE9.
Just because of UAC? I don't even think what he said is true as most of IE's security features are in the browser itself. UAC only prompts you when a system change is being made so even if it was a part of IE, it's a good thing.
Without UAC IE won't use the special low browser permissions mode, and I'm not sure but I think that also disables the virtualized system access.
Probably at least as safe as IE8, if not safer. Though it is beta. But it should be pretty safe. Just keep in mind by disabling UAC you also disable most if not all of the critical safety features of IE, so don't do that.
Too bad UAC is a piece of shit and needs to be disabled before Vista is even half usable.
i can't wait to download firefox with ie9.
