this will help with estimating when Apple will refresh their products.

I'm expecting the tablet and a big update fore the Mac Pro (i5/i7, possibly a six-core cpu, and ATI 5000 series)
I'm expecting - Tablet, Updated MacBook Pro's, Mac Pros, Possibly Macbook Airs.
Along with maybe a 27inch Cinema display/8GB iPhone 3gs.

Damn, that 4850 isnt enough to tempt me over, nevermind
Apple hasn't touched their Mac Pro line in years, though. I'd love it if they pulled an iMac on it and brought the pricing of the line down and bumped it, even if that's all that happens. As it is the iMac is the better prosumer option now - there just isn't any reason to justify a tower with the specs and the price. Ideally it's a product they can slim the profit margins on to compete as a commodity tower...

They updates the Mac Pros a couple of months ago: http://www.macrumors.com/2009/03/03/apple-introduces-new-mac-pro-with-nehalem-xeon-processors/
"Years" is hyperbole.

But they just updated it... it wasn't something super good, but it shows that it's still an active product and won't die away.
I do think they will update it, at least this year.
