Yeah, I'm going to stick with 4.1 for now, how long do you guys think the jailbreak will take to be out?
There's supposedly another userland exposed hole that they can get into, so probably shortly. Just be sure to backup your keys for 4.1! http://thefirmwareumbrella.blogspot.com/

http://thefirmwareumbrella.blogspot.com/
Mind summarizing that for me in idiot english? I'm not entirely sure what's it tryin to say, so if I just updated from 4.0.2 to 4.1 through iTunes I can no longer unlock my phone cause of a baseband update?
is my 3.1.2 jailbroken iPod touch 1st gen able to use with iTunes 10? I heard it disables it.

Your baseband is locked in if you did not save your keys (iPhone 4 and few iPhone 3GS owners with old bootloader).
Correct. Your baseband is locked in if you did not save your keys (iPhone 4 and few iPhone 3GS owners with old bootloader).
So is this permanent? or can I expect fix?
So is this permanent? or can I expect fix anytime?
Not until the next they get ultrasn0w running on 4.1. If they do.
Not until the next they get ultrasn0w running on 4.1. If they do.
Well I head back to Dubai in 4 months, that's enough time I assume.. :v:
I got some questions. Will it affect the Warranty? How do i do it? How do i reverse it? And last question, will it work with 4.0.1? (Not the new model, the old model before the new)
I got some questions. Will it affect the Warranty? How do i do it? How do i reverse it? And last question, will it work with 4.0.1? (Not the new model, the old model before the new)
Yes it will void your warranty. Jailbreakme website for 4.0.1 or ultrasnow/pwng/some other jailbreak program, normally just a plug in a click this button thing. Just update your ipod or restore it through itunes. Any Idevice with 4.0.1 can be jailbroken with the website above. Someone please correct me if I have any of these wrong.
Sorry i meant 4.1 and can we talk about the Website in my thread, it doesn't seem to work. http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1000091
Is there a jailbreak app that allows you to listen to songs in mono, or at the very least change the speaker balance?
should i wait until jailbreaK FOR 4.1 to come out before updating or update from 3.1.3
Are there any untethered jailbreaks for an Iphone 3GS running 4.0.2? I really want SBsettings and emulators.
Is there a jailbreak app that allows you to listen to songs in mono, or at the very least change the speaker balance?
What device/ios are you using? I'm on an iPhone4, with 4.1 and I have the ability to change to mono through settings> general> accessibility, I don't see why other devices shouldn't have this feature.
I'm on Ipod Touch 2gen running version 4.0, and I have no accessibility tab under general.
Ah might be apple playing their shitty little games with older model iDevices :\ Sorry, don't know about any Cydia mono speaker apps.. :(
I think it's time for a new thread, since the OP was perma'd and can't provide any more updates to the OP
I would have to say most active in this thread.
My friend gave me an 8gb iPhone 3g, running on firmware 4.0 with baseband 5.13.04. He recently upgraded to an iPhone 4, so naturally, the phone has no carrier/service. I'm on T-Mobile, and I'd like to use the iphone, but I seriously haven't found a single helpful tutorial. [editline]04:21AM[/editline] Nevermind, tried it on my laptop and it worked, go figure.
I'm on Ipod Touch 2gen running version 4.0, and I have no accessibility tab under general.
it's there on my friend's 2nd gen look harder. it's right at the bottom of the page.
it's there on my friend's 2nd gen look harder. it's right at the bottom of the page.
Everywhere I check says that Ipod touch 2g does not and will not have accessibility options
I just jailbroke my iPod touch and I don't know what apps to get.. any ideas?
I just jailbroke my iPod touch and I don't know what apps to get.. any ideas?
Mxtube, Installous, Infinidock and just look around, i'm sure something will catch your eye
Mxtube, Installous, Infinidock and just look around, i'm sure something will catch your eye
thanks
Everywhere I check says that Ipod touch 2g does not and will not have accessibility options
Yes, it's not on my 2G.
So, are there any jailbreaks actually released for 4.1? I'm not really following it anymore
I'm on Ipod Touch 2gen running version 4.0, and I have no accessibility tab under general.
You may be able to activate it with the Springboard .plist edit, pretty much the exact same one that turned wallpapers on.
So, are there any jailbreaks actually released for 4.1? I'm not really following it anymore
No. Well there is, but only for devices with old bootrom exploits. So, stuff like the non-mc iPod.
And how would one know if they have a non-mc iPhone 3G? :3:
And how would one know if they have a non-mc iPhone 3G? :3:
Bump. Go into settings, then General, then About, and look at either version number or model (can't remember, my phone's not next to me to check). If the model number starts with MC, it's obviously an MC.
